I thought of Trump as just an attention seeker. After the birtherism, I couldn't stand him and my opinion of him will never change after that.

You can’t see the obvious? The man isn’t right. He is an idiot and narcissist. He doesn’t love anything or anyone but himself. He never will. Not a landslide either. Where did you get that? Fox News?

I guess people get riled up when there's an incompetent idiot in the White House?

Go figure.

And, before that nugget gets tossed out, Obama wasn't incompetent. "I do not like him" and "he's incompetent" are not equivalent expressions.

Very nice, smart, naturally beautiful, and surprisingly, as tall as I am!

In the end, they decided not to pursue the project. Ivanka and "Mr. Trump" called to explain why. It was the only time I ever spoke with him, and I was impressed that he "let" Ivanka do all the talking. I thought that was great that he gave her the reins to take charge with the details of the conversation.

Now I look back and I see that very, very differently. He wasn't "letting" her take charge. He NEEDED her to do the talking and to have all the details.
And, he tried that to some degree as POTUS and it didn't fly.

It's rather telling that the people who have the worst impression of him are those who've had the greatest opportunity to observe his behavior at close range over time: New Yorkers.

He repulsed me from day one but it was because men like him creep me out and they always have.

I have plenty of friends who are fairly liberal who watched The Apprentice. I didn't watch that crap, either.

The casino he built was not a coincidence, either.

Biff, I mean.

I always knew Trump was kind of a jerk, it's his schtick. He's an outspoken, loud-mouthed, arrogant businessman. And there are plenty of people like him in this world, so again, I had no issue with him.

But to think he is qualified to run this country is absurd. I honestly don't think Trump truly cares about making a difference or wants to help people, he just wanted to be POTUS to say that he was POTUS. This is all about him, not us, the American people.

And the way Trump lied and conned his way into the Oval Office by lying and deceiving millions of low-IQ voters, just telling them what he wanted to hear. I actually applaud Trump for exploiting the stupid, he was very good on the campaign trail. He knew what got people riled up, and he fed them the red meat they craved. He really is a good salesman.
I generally agree, but I do not think he actually wanted to be POTUS. He did not think he would win. That is why he started out with the accusations of vote tampering before a vote was even taken. To pave the way for his supporters to think he was "in the know" about some misdeeds of the DNC.

He has known Hillary Clinton for a long time. He knew she was smart and qualified. He knew he was not remotely qualified.

The whole thing was a publicity stunt that went awry.

It still is.

People in the Mid West might not know much about him, but a lot of us on this coast do, and that is why we have such disdain for the man.
When did you two first meet ?

Hillary was smart and qualified? Then why can't anybody remember what her campaign stood for?

I don't know why Hillary even ran for President. I don't think anybody really does.
