I asked Gary Johnson about this and he said he would still get involved just in a smaller way. I suppose a little failure is better than a bigger failure.

Gary Johnson was such and embarrassment. Should have been Austin Petersen, but Johnson had the name recognition. And for all his flaws, he would have been vastly better than Trump or Hillary.

But it wouldn't have mattered who it was. All Libertarian candidates want to end the War on Drugs. It's one of the biggest pillars of our party. If Libertarians actually got a crack at it, the Drug War would be ended at long last and our bloated federal government would have gone on a radical weight-loss program.

Just have to convince people that they don't have to vote R or D.

Do you really want to start this precedent with national issues that impact the whole nation?

Cut back money for green energy credits unless blue states pay for it all. Cut back international charity spending unless blue states pay for it all. Cut back safety net spending by the federal government unless blue states pay for it all, etc...

Austin was more gung ho over getting involved than Johnson. I told Petersen that there is no way I could vote for him and we see now that he never was a (L) to start with.
