The Russian influence was massive before the election. If they have been even more involved after the election, well... when you dupe an entire country into doing what you want, you move onto the next phase. It's a hostile adversary after all, something Republicans used to remember.

The political theater indictments last Friday were not about "illegal activities of their leaders". They were about "illegal activities" of foreign intelligence professionals. Like - duh. What amazing explosive stuff. Foreign intelligence professionals doing their jobs.
Nobody on these boards has any clue what Mueller is looking at or how he is making his case. If there are Americans associated with these Russian Military people then indicting these Russians makes sense. We will see.
You don't need to indict foreign intelligence professionals in order to indict Americans who work for them. AFAIU, that has never been done before. Maybe you can give me some examples.
