Sorry.

Bank fraud was not involved.

Documents were not forged.

Tax accountants were not asked to lie.

...

It is not the exact same crime. Not even close.
Yes you're right but this judge seems determine to sit on the supreme court(doing trump favors) becuase he won't let the prosecutor do squat. A few lawyers I know (cousins) all said that the judge has already open this trial up for appeal.

John Podesta, lied about this income and ties to Russian state owned banks, as well as failing to file under FARA like Manafort. Once he was caught, he was never charged, fired or demoted. He was given a promotion to HRC Campaign Mgr.

At the end of the day, who cares about Paul Manafort? I'm certainly not under the impression that he's squeaky clean. My issue is the selective enforcement of the law as a political weapon and the blatant hypocrisy of the left in pretending they care about a tax evasion/bank fraud case.

If we had equal justice under the law, John & Tony Podesta would have had their doors kicked in, guns drawn, in pre-dawn raids, with their wives being hand cuffed, thrown to the floor, they'd be looking at the preposterous sentence of 305 years for tax evasion/bank fraud, their electronic devices would all have been confiscated, their business acquaintances harassed/intimidated, and they'd be sitting in solitary confinement as we speak.

The average tax evasion conviction is 1.5 years. Murder is 20 years. Manafort's looking at 305 years.

The exact same liberals who claim to care about unjust prison sentences, prison reform & police corruption, can defend sending someone to die in prison over tax evasion/bank fraud charges, is the absolute height of liberal hypocrisy.

Trials like this are notoriously unpredictable. In fact, when Rosenstein previously had a chance to prosecute this case, he decided to pass. Mueller appears to be trying to use it to manipulate Manafort. But how confident do you think Mueller is that he will actually win here?
He did not pass, he turned the case over to Mueller which being the one overseeing the investigation is what Rosenstein was required to do. You have to stop getting all your "facts" from Hannity.

90% of federal court trials end in a conviction. The feds already have testimony by Manafort's accountants that false tax returns were filed. Manafort is toast. At the very minimum on tax evasion and likely on everything.

Judge Ellis has made it difficult for Manafort's legal team to appeal with claims of judicial prejudice.

But that's different!

We must put this in proper perspective, when Republicans are going after Democrats it's perfectly fine to spend taxpayer dollars.

It would help if everyone would remember that

Weekend is over, we're back to the Manafort Trial.

Things are heating up: Rick Gates, former Trump campaign adviser who has already pleaded guilty to multiple federal charges, expected to testify against Paul Manafort sometime this week.

Go get 'em, Mueller.
