As to the pardon, who knows? Trump is long past realizing that his actions make him look guilty as sin.

Manafort likely knows the details about the conspiracy with the Russians to steal the election, who all was involved, and what efforts were coordinated.

If the price of his silence is a pardon, hard to bet on Trump refusing.
If the last indictments for the 12 Russians were any indication, Mueller can probably tell you what color socks they were wearing on a given day. He is incredibly thorough.

It wouldn't have surprised me if they'd have caught Trump red handed. He's nothing resembling pure as the driven snow after all. But if he was guilty they'd have found evidence of it by now. Instead, Mueller is chasing down completely unrelated crimes trying to squeeze anyone and everyone to give up the dirt on Russian collusion. They've come up completely empty. At this point, I'm satisfied that while Donald Trump is many bad things, he did not conspire with the Russians to steal the 2016 election.

If John and Tony Podesta -- Manafort's money laundering partners in crime -- are arrested and squeezed in the same manner, how much dirt on Hillary and Bill will they give over? We already know that the DNC did a lot of cheating on Hillary's behalf. We know that the MSM blatantly cheated on her behalf. How deep does that rabbit hole go? Are you equally interested in justice being served against the Clintons, or are you just another mindless partisan?
What makes you think they haven't? The investigation was not over because a few indictments were handed down. It is still ongoing.

Liberals are so USED to people handing them things without working for them that the second they are rebuked in any manner they immediately blame the party rebuking them, they fail to see why they have been rebuked and proceed to blame others for their failures.

Apparently, Dems are A-OK with cheating on one's taxes unless it's not a Dem who does so.

Oh, and Geithner also employed an "unauthorized immigrant" housekeeper.
He admitted guilt and paid his fine, which is what was required. What else should he have done?

Also, Geithner did not attempt to hide his failure to pay SS tax.

Even if Geithner had been involved in a huge scam to avoid paying $40K in SS taxes, it still doesn't let Manafort off the hook.

These constant whatabout posts are just inane.

It makes no difference if everyone else in the known universe is speeding. If you get caught. You get the ticket and the fine.

That's how it works.

Maybe your Mama lets you slide when you claim your brother did it too.

But the rest of the world doesn't care how many other people did it. If you get caught doing the crime, you do the time.

If he was being charged with the SAME charges, wouldn't that be double jeopardy?
When was he charged before?

Perhaps true or some name dropping by his daughter. Not sure how far the apple falls from the tree with the Manafort clan.

When you have an unlimited trough of taxpayers money to spend being thorough comes with the territory.

Double jeopardy bars a second prosecution after acquittal and/or conviction, and outlaws multiple punishments for the same offense.

If there even were any charges to begin with, they can be reinstated at any time.

For example, murder charges that are dropped for insufficient evidence, can be reinstated if additional evidence emerges.
