The neighbors heard banging on a door and a woman's voice yelling "open the door". Why would she tell someone to open the door if she thought that she was at her own apartment door?
Exactly. Calipoppy, call the DA with what you know.
That is the latest info being reported regarding the incident. I think that there is a LOT f info that is being held back that is damaging to the officer.
There would seem little doubt she is utterly and completely liable for the victims death. And a huge payout. But likely the issue will be the liability of the police Dept. Not going to collect 25 or 30 million from the officer. The victim's family are going to insist it was a matter of her training and Police protocols. And all of that will interfere with attempts to convict her of manslaughter.
I would be inclined to suspect when it all converges that it is simply just a mistake that got blown all to hell by its outcome. She is going to be cold stone sober and drug free. Unfortunate details went the wrong way. She may have easily spotted the red carpet but was hauling a load of stuff in and it blocked her down view.
Much will hang on the details of the door way exchange. I would expect her story to be that she was being closed upon by a large guy who would not put his hands up.
And I would agree that if he was carrying and killed her he would have walked.
Sometimes the gods play with us mortals...like the insoluble conundrum here.
Your cite in no way proves that. These things often have all sorts of "features". You would have to go through all those before you reach the conclusion her testimony is incorrect. There still is no time line of the entire affair. The TX Rangers may have one but they have not disclosed it.
So I'm trying to figure out . . . what is the advantage of her saying the door was ajar, rather than he answered the door in his underwear and she was so shocked and startled she shot him?
