If this was a black police officer shooting a white girl in the wrong apartment, the fury from certain groups would have been more intense.
Absolutely.
Instead the fury from other certain groups is more intense.
Anyone that clings to race when deciding right\wrong instead of fact in these incidents is an idiot but we see it time and again. Most don't even wait to get facts and sadly that includes the news media that will put a camera on anybody claiming anything even if they weren't a witness.
Meanwhile, despite claims from certain groups, she's been brought up on manslaughter charges with possible 2nd degree murder as the investigation continues.
The Texas Rangers apparently did an independent investigation and felt this only warranted a manslaughter charge at the most. Sorry but I don't put any faith in their investigation.
Her entire story and scenario has more holes than Swiss cheese. First she worked a 12 hour shift. Then it kept increasing and now they are saying she worked a 15 hour shift. First the door was locked. Now it was ajar. So on and so forth, how utterly convenient.
One interesting tidbit is that she apparently lived right underneath the victim.
I posted what was required to prove Murder 2 earlier in the thread. I gave examples like if they'd had a past run-in or relationship or witnesses heard them arguing etc. etc.
I think I need a little more from you as to why manslaughter is insufficient because it just seems that's how you *feel* without any logical support to your position?
Based on her statements alone there is enough for a manslaughter charge. A good chance of a murder two charge eventually. No need to rush anything here.

"Don't get me wrong. She's going to have to answer in a court of law," Sgt. Mike Mata, president of the Dallas Police Association, said Tuesday. "But it needs to be fair and unbiased and right now it's not unbiased. It's beginning to turn into a political hunt."
It is never fair and unbiased when law enforcement investigates themselves.

Not the person you asked, but I think people are just sick of this ****. This incident was especially egregious, and yes, as bad as Guyger’s actions were, she is taking heat for the other cops who got off.
And of course, there are several reasons why her story makes no sense. I think “they” are sure right now that she can be successfully convicted of manslaughter, but are not yet sure they can make a murder 2 charge stick. Better to go with the charge you know can be upheld. Because one thing is certain, a trial that resulted in her getting off would be met with widespread rage.
It looks like the shooter had a relationship with guy who was killed. A social media photo is flirting around with the cop and the man shot wrapped around in arms. I think that the officer shot the black guy due to the fact the black guy did not want nothing to do with the female officer. This is not a race based issue. This is an issue of failed romance. I understand that we are in an culture war and I understand that white people are evil.
OK pro black people and white liberals. I get your point white people are evil. But you guys fail to think and look at the world from a panoramic perspective such as I. Failed romance is the reason why the black man was shot by the officer. Also had did the officer enter the apartment? How did she get entrance?

Bronxguyanese, would you have a link to that photo? Thanks. My search skills kind of suck.

Texas doesn't have a specific Murder 2 charge. What happened is either Murder or Manslaughter.
Even under the one-sided arrest affidavit, she could be charged with Murder under this standard:
"The defendant intended to cause serious bodily injury and committed an act that was clearly dangerous to human life and this act caused the death of an individual."

I don’t think what is bolded applies if the assailant is in fear of her life. Even if that fear was due to a gross error.
While not termed second degree Texas does differentiate between types of murder.
