your correct, but I'm hopeful awareness will settle in, and it will change once again....

And how do we know the population is still being dumbed-down in our country's public school system 50 years later?

And yet, during the time you have been alive, either you or the politicians you endorsed have failed to right the ship. What does it feel like to be a victim?

This has been typical throughout history and is depicted in many movies and plays....

Where the "fool" becomes the wise one (Trump, Forest Gump or whomever) and a large section of Society eats it up.

In fact, anti-intellectualism (which we agree is bigger on the Right) is what caused the purges and murder/re-education of millions in Cambodia in the 1990's. The working stiff was glorified while the brains were murdered. If you knew two languages...off with your head....
(Please - I know these were "leftist" movements, but we are talking about intellectualism, not the definition of a historical movement)...

We see that in our own propaganda here..as I mentioned, movies, books, TV, radio.

A big example is WWII. It was defined by the infantry pushing up a flag or charging in.
But what was the true reality of the victory in WWII??

Well, besides Russia cannon fodder, it was SCIENTISTS who won the war on every front. They devised the way to finally do away with U-Boats. They devised the bomb sights and the pathfinders. And then, they made the A-Bomb.

Secondary to victory is the medical field - antibiotics and much more.

How many of those large colorful posters have the guys and gals with coke-bottle glasses and slide rules or the first computer code on them? None that I have ever seen.

Anti-intellectualism is very very dangerous and it is here now in the USA..big time. An entire party uses it as their baseline. White nationalism is, in a sense, anti-intellectualism because it's all tribal instead of merit based.

No, we do NOT agree. Read my post on how and why the US populace was intentionally dumbed down by radical lefty SJW education gurus. It cites sources.

You’re just getting older.

When you were younger, your grandparents were saying the same thing about everyone else.

Whenever a society starts ignoring laws, there is much more to come....whenever a society believes that crime is not an offense, there is more to come....education is another loss...

if your leaders are corrupt, so will your people be.

People like to say that, but the fact is that there have been measurable declines in the US population's academic and work skills test scores over the past several decades. Info with citations in my post:

There was a push in the 1950s to encourage kids to get into science fields.

The problem is when the average worker becomes so expendable as to be deemed simply irrelevant, hence, a pushback and President Trump. Urban elites and intellectuals in 2018 have nothing to complain about except for Trump. He won't be around forever and then they can get right back to it.
