The real losers of the midterm election are the American people.

The Blue Wave turned out to be a just a Blue Trickle, but the Democrats are out of real ideas on how to handle illegal immigration, the economy, and the evaporating middle class. The party that once opposed endless wars, now wants to have endless investigations of Trump.

The guy who has a plan to deal with all these now is hamstrung having lost the House. He also now has a plausible excuse. He is also the one who turned the Blue Wave to a Blue Trickle. The republican candidates that embraced him won, those that didn't lost.

At what point are the Democrats going to wake up that orange man bad and vapid identity politics can't be the sum total of their policies?

Yes, I know. I reelected him as most democrats did. You know why, he's a moderate not a crazy conservative who is lock step with Trump. Hogan's been a good governor unlike republican Ehrlich who we voted out after his first term

The Blue Wave is still rolling over GOP members from sea to shining sea. It's been a good week for Democrats and the nation.

You just got here and you’re already making stuff up. Please stop.

Actually, as Bernie Sanders has alluded, Democrats can walk and chew gum at the same time. IOW, they will advance their policy agenda AND hold Trump's feet to the fire at the same time.

The dems did very well and some races around the country still have not been called yet.

Well, they have taken a page out of the Donald Trump School of Deflecting the Truth and use it every chance they get. They are attempting to make the results of the mid terms a nothing burger, but the reality is, this was a YUGE hit for Trump and his Republican buddies. How many seats in the House went blue, like 35 ?

Trump can not hide his emotions, and that press conference, after the election, showed how PO'd he really is at the results. The idiot was stupid enough to proclaim "This election is all about ME !", and yes, Donnie, it was. If he had been doing the job he was hired to do, and doing a good job, the results wouldn't have been so devastating for the Republicans.

The nation spoke, and spoke loudly, and I bet Trump is absolutely seething inside !

The only thing the Democrats are good at is shooting themselves in the foot. The Republicans are no better.

Actually, the reason there was a Blue Wave on Tuesday is the Democratic agenda that was reasonably and rationally explained to the voters. The discerning American public have spoken and obtained the type of leadership that is desired. Bravo for sound and rational agendas and the integrity and character that prevailed.

But of course Yuptag, you know that, don't you? Hard to sell opposite day, today.

Which they should have expected and quite frankly some of those losses were destined to happen.

Claire McCaskill beat very long odds winning that Missouri senate seat in first place, this in a state that has been solidly republican for some time, and becoming more so in the age of DT. Worse for Ms. McCaskill was her vote for Brett Kavanaugh which likely did her very little good.

GOP was smart in forcing that SC vote before the election as it put senate members in a tight spot. Two of the female members of that chamber lost their seats this week. If Ms. Collins had been running for reelection this year she might have joined them in being voted out. Democrat base just wasn't playing having it and it cost the party a few seats.

Just what policy agenda would that be?

Economy is booming, unemployment is at historical lows, wages are rising, and so forth.

If Democrats bust out with large spending/social welfare plans they'll have to come up with ways of funding; that most always means higher taxes. Good luck with that when all everyone seems to believe is DT's/GOP's "tax reform" is largely behind this booming economy of late.
