Stop being obsessed with a phallic object and we'll stop mentioning it.

Stop putting words in my mouth to try and stop making your case seem worse. I'm OK with the police shooting at someone who is holding a gun in public and not listening to their demands. That person is a danger to them and society at that moment if they don't know anything else about the situation.

I'm not happy that someone died.

I'm holding off on any police comments until I see footage. I'm surprised no cell phone footage has been leaked.

From what I know he was a security guard and he went beyond what was required of what most people call a "rent-a-cop". He did a good job and it ended badly. Sometimes that happens.

No matter how this situation went, when ordered to drop your weapon, you don't bend over to set it down. You release it and let it fall to the ground. If you don't want to scratch it up, you shouldn't carry your BBQ gun as your daily carry.

Let's hear it. What do conservatives and the NRA think about the Jemel Roberson case?
I am middle of the road.

It is reasonable to assume none of us were at Manny’s Blue Bar in Robbins, Illinois at 4:00 AM, Sunday.

You are asking posters to SPECULATE about a mass shooting in a bar at 4:00 AM. and a related police shooting of a bouncer who apprehended the shooter and held him at gun point.

Why would the NRA have any opinion?

The bouncer, other victims, and patrons were all black.

What does race have to do with this?

So when I see a security guard employed by, for instance, the bank I am visiting, I should assume that the gun is for show, and that the guard is not supposed to fire it?

Huh.

You said My point was, criminal with a gun got shot.

My point to you is that the statements made by the Chief of Police indicate that the death of Mr Jamel was totally uncalled for and a complete tragedy. It comes across like you are attempting to justify his death.

Begs the question then why even bother having a security guard present if they can't use their gun without fear of being shot by the police when they show up.

The non-reaction of the gun community speaks volumes. Race has everything to do with it.

I did not type that. I said that most people say that. In fact, they even make movies about them. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1114740/

In fact, I know a lot of people in personal security and all are trained and most have former military experience.
