Very sad case. I do believe if the cop mistakenly kills an innocent guy, they should at the very least never be able to work as a police officer again (if it's with intent they should go to prison ofc). Won't bring him back, but maybe just maybe it will teach police officers to be more careful. Police in the USA easily earn over 6 figures once you figure overtime pay, etc. This is probably higher than they'd get in any other profession with their given skillsets.
So good guys with a gun should take no actions in a shooting situation?
Remind me. Have you ever made the argument that mass shootings wouldn't occur if there were more good guys with guns?
Shooting to stop someone from killing others is one thing, playing cop and trying to apprehend someone when they didn't have to is stupid. THEN not listening to cops and dropping the gun is even more stupid.
What does the NRA have to do with police behavior?
When the cops kill people that were legally carrying a gun (especially when the cops dont give the guy a chance to put it down) they stay silent on gun rights.
He had a gun in plain sight and was told multiple times to drop it.
Thats quite a spin you put on this unless I'm missing something?
In this case, but we all know that cops have shot a lot of people who were unarmed. It doesn't matter if cops see a gun or not, they have to assume you have a gun. This has an detrimental effect on the way police and civilians interact with one another.

IF that's what happened. Security tapes are available but haven't been released yet. It's - interesting - that people who were actually there and witnessed it are telling a different story than the cops are.
The other thread on Jemel Roberson is clogged up with fluff.
Let's hear it. What do conservatives and the NRA think about the Jemel Roberson case?
Bad cop.
