Oh, not just her. You've got Maxine, Fauxahontas, Screech Sanders, Plastic Cowboy Hat Chick, Pelosi and a host of other wack-jobs that are also responsible. This ditz is just the latest in a string of disastrous jokes within the Democratic party. Nobody with an IQ over 70 takes them seriously.
I'm a moderate. I do believe the tax rates need to be progressive, but a top rate of 70% is insanely regressive and creates incentives for individuals to reduce their income.
One would hope. The critical need for a 70% tax bracket for over $10 million in income is to prevent the rise of an aristocracy in the US. Patents of nobility are forbidden by the constitution, but vast accumulations of wealth are the same thing under another name. It needs to be prevented. A boost in estate tax rates would also help.

I like how people choose to limit my potential before I get there. If I earn my way to nobility type status/wealth. Why the heck shouldn't I be allowed? They earned it, and deserve it. Them earning more, doesn't constitute you taking more from them even more.
Greedy really. I am a middle class citizen, but damn I feel for the mega rich getting taxed for the 98% of the countries lower class. its garbage. We should be encouraging those to get rich and dominate the market. free market encourages free growth. Stop punishing those who earn more than others. I personally want a flat tax, 30% federal tax, no state tax. let the fed disperse it to the states with their population who paid into it.

You don't get it, when the classes diverge too much in wealth, it raises the COL for the lower classes without any input from them, because the ascending few wealthy can outbid them for everything by simply paying more

Well we know already know how communism worked for leveling out the classes. We will need more prisons and cemeteries, but hey, jobs.
In today's global economy, 70% rates would see the richest Americans leaving the country and taking their money and many jobs with them. France tried it and so many rich people left that their tax revenue went down.
