Agree. She is an entertaining side show for conservatives. But for power entrenched liberals -- she is a real threat.
That's how conservatives/Repubnlicans will play this -- that she is a threat...but i don't think so. Pelosi and this chick in a room -- who do you think comes out alive and smiling.

I don't think this Cortez knows they are empty promises and some ways that is very disturbing.
I'm not disturbed by it. Sometimes it's important to have someone come in with apparently "radical" ideas at the time in order to change the conversation. Long term that can lead to positive, tangible policy results, even if it's not perfectly in line with the vision of said idealist.

Ok, I can see there's going to be no point with you when you fall back on childlike responses like this. "They know better" is a conclusory statement based on nothing.

and the reasoning IMO is that the democrats have been no more than republican "lite" since they passed the NAFTA republican policy in the 90's...the dems do nothing for working class

yes that's a good argument for tolerating a radical thinker.
My point, she may have a 1001 ideas and she can do a 1001 interviews spouting them.
Until it goes mainstream -- she's not a threat to me or anybody else.
I'm not a die hard liberal. I'm somewhere in between -- especially with fiscal policies. She doesn't make me nervous. She's not going to be a determining factor in a 2020 election. But conservatives/Republicans will try to make her out to be a threat to our democracy and blah blah blah. Swing voters are more thoughtful though and usually don't fall for the song and dance...sure they can but they don't usually stick by it.
