It's almost like the GOP wants to embarrass their own president in the most poignant way possible, by giving him a pittance of what he requested and making sure none of it can be spent on a wall. Now that is delicious.
And it is significantly less funding than the amount he rejected previously and shut down the government over. Please explain to us how this does anything but make Trump look like an inept, ineffectual negotiator. This should be good.

Really? Then all of his bloviating has been about nothing? (Good to see that you finally realize it!)
So 55 more miles of a feeble fence that leads to an open border? Yeah, that makes a ton of sense to me. Neither side is willing to discuss reform. That's not a win, it's a kick the can solution. I can't wait to hear the FOX spin if the deal is signed. Oh no, what will Coulter say?

It only took 4000 posts to prove this, beyond a shadow of a doubt.
It has ALWAYS been about nothing, from the imaginative fairy tale about a "crisis on the southern border" to the completely ridiculous plan to address the fictitious crisis by demanding a "beautiful wall stretching from sea to sea". Painted black nonetheless: "Let’s paint it black. It will be hotter so you can’t climb over the thing.”
Trump has made our country a joke all around the world.

I don't know what is planned for the 55 miles, but the slats they are building in other areas are hardly "a feeble fence". They have been a good deterrent where they exist. Of course, 55 miles is a drop in the bucket.
