The Wall Agreement:

The full details of the tentative agreement struck on Monday evening have yet to be publicly released. But according to a Democratic source, the agreement in principle at this point would include $1.375 billion for physical barriers and a level of 40,520 for overall ICE beds, short of the 52,000 the administration requested and matching current funding levels.

Current broadcasting: 55 miles of new wall barriers that will include some within the Rio Grande Valley.

Will Trump sign ...

The NYP is reporting a deal in principle has been reached with border wall funding as low as $1.4 Billion dollars. My feeling is that even if it's all for the wall and there is other money for border security and Trump signs off on it I would view this as a huge defeat for Trump.

Of course it is....even the 5 Billion would have been a horrible defeat...considering what he "traded" for it.

Wow, Nancy is really showing The Don how it's done...but I doubt Don is up to learning new tricks.

Trump announced “Just so you know, we’re building the wall anyway,” at the El Paso campaign rally, even if Congress does not fund it. This came after legislators announced they had reached the funding deal. So he will struggle on ...

He also said he would not sign an agreement that cuts detention beds. (Where that occurred isn't clear.)

This is the latest from Mick Mulvaney on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace. About the wall money negotiations and the leaker who got Trump's calendar. Sounds like they will nab the guy this week.

Get it straight from the source and not mainstream media pressitutes who always get it wrong. Wallace complimented Mulvaney for answering every question and not being evasive (like most politicians).

Funny how that never comes up. There have to be some statistics out there. Or DHS projections.

https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...mmigrants-cro/

Here's a good look into that. There's nothing to support that number. Note that a Princeton sociologist has a study showing just 20% apprehended in 2016. If the 90% number were true, then nearly all the illegals caught up in worksite raids would have an ICE arrest record on file and be in the system.

Anywall, the point of a wall is to not apprehend them on our side where they enter the system and have "rights" and often get released into the US. It's to keep most of them on the other side and out of our system altogether.

From your link: "The agreement means 55 miles of new fencing." That's not a down payment, that's a defeat. I'm pretty sure he got more last year. This was a Trump fumble that was recovered by the Democrats and returned for a touchdown.

But how do you know that when those numbers are very similar to the same two months in 2017 when there was a FY total of 310,531 apprehensions. In 2017 the apprehensions for Oct and Nov were 46684 and 47861 respectively.
We now have numbers for two more months.

October 51,001
November 51,856

December 50,749
January 47,893

YTD 201,497

The rate is not significantly dropping. We are still on pace for 600,000.

$1.3 billion?

That's even less than the compromise bill Trump changed his mind on last year.

Ahahahahahaaaaa

Looks like Trump takes a big fat L on this whole border situation.
