If that isn't attempting to come here "legally" tell me another path. Maybe they should send a written letter to Trump and ask for permission to come in.

Asylum is for the persecuted not the poor. 98% of these asylum applications get rejected. Making a fraudulent claim is not in the spirit of doing it the right way.

until the House passes a bill with increased border security funding, they are wasting time if you are one who wants govt reopened.

Personally, I do not mind the partial shutdown one bit.

The productive private sector hums along. 312k new jobs in December alone.

You’re delusional if you don’t think a prolonged shutdown will have a negative impact on the private sector.

The reason it didn't pass is because the Senate Democrats had the filibuster and the Republicans could not overcome a filibuster.

I agree with you that the Republicans should have eliminated the filibuster in the Senate and funded the wall. Mitch McConnell and any other Republican who believes the Democrats are reasonable and willing to compromise is an idiot.

That's what the Democrats are hoping for, as much pain to as many people as possible. All so they can keep the border wide open for MS-13, human trafficking, and child sex crimes.

You must be very proud of your party.

Wrong. Senate could use reconciliation. It was a budget matter. McConnell refused to bring it to a vote even though Trump asked. Reason was they did not even have 50 votes. Its the only answer. That or republicans are not for the wall.

Wrong. Reconciliation can only be used in limited circumstances.

I'm glad we agree that the Democrats are completely unwilling to compromise on any issue, at least you are intellectually honest enough to admit that.

******** Trump said he's taking the blame for the shutdown. Did you not get what came out of his piehole, or are you admitting he's a liar?

Admit it - your party is not interested in compromise with Trump on any level.
Wrong. Work is still proceeding on the high speed diesel for the Southeast rail corridor.
