But why are his numbers off? Is it because the President of the United States doesn’t have access to the correct numbers, or does he feel empowered to provide false data because his followers simply don’t care?
It's a combination of both. He doesn't care enough to look at the real numbers and his supporters don't care anyway. He could have said seven billion illegal immigrants knocked over a fence and stormed in, throwing heroin as they entered, murdering everyone in sight, and his supporters would believe it without a second thought.
Wouldn't one murder by an American also be too many? Like a murder of an entire kindergarten classroom or the murder of a bunch of people watching a movie? You realize you're substantially more in danger of being killed by a fellow American than being killed by an illegal immigrant, yes?
After watching/hearing the President's speech on CSPAN I turned off the TV.
I see I was correct in not wanting to see vomit with the two Democrat whiners.
I say keep the government closed for 2 years as well as the President using his Executive powers to legally build the wall without (on the most part) Democrats who are two-faced.
Trump is a shell of a man. Defeated by his own party's refusal to fund his wall, Trump closed down gov thinking he could bully Congress..
Meanwhile despite Trump's deflections Mueller has brought more charges and Trump is rumored to be looking for a deal... If he does it will be his first successful deal as POTUS...
What's with all that sniffing Trump did? Are the Adderall rumors true?
Regardless of the cause of the Trump sniffles, they were very distracting. He adhered to the same old line, with dubious stats intended to make his point, and kept droning on about the Wall and criminal immigrants, while Schumer and Pelosi kept with the negative effect of the government shut-down on American citizens. There was little common ground as far as content was concerned, sadly.
Looks as if we're going to have to buckle down for a long stretch of shut-down government, closed national parks, no food stamps for those in need, no paychecks for 800,000 public servants, and more political grandstanding.
Tiresome. Makes me hope Mueller will step it up, and bring an end to this foolishness another way.
