My proposal:

1. End birthright citizenship
2. Improve and enforce e-Verify

No funding for the border wall.

This is a compromise that I think most can get behind.

I’m quite liberal and I would agree to that.

But on #2 I think to truly enforce this you have to take the managers that hire illegals to jail.

Enforce means truly enforce.

conservative and I would support this compromise. the issue of border enforcement isn't going away though.

In reality though, it isn't going to happen.

Thanks for voting.

Can you clarify what you mean by "it isn't going to happen"?

The problem with trying to make deals with Trump is that fact that he will dishonor the agreement as soon as it is convenient to him.

Ending birthright citizenship would require a constitutional amendment.

GOP could have started that process decades ago if that was what they wanted.

Enforce E-verify. Leagalize weed and empower the southern border with real tools. They drive old suvs that have over 230miles. Are short staffed, have a lack communication- or updated electronics to do the job. And with the shut down you killing morale as those poor families not getting paid. The wall will not fix the issues - any wall can be breached. Just think - people climb Mt Everest !

I think that many of them will. This is what compromise is all about. This is how we can move forward.

Personally, I think that the conservatives will never go for giving up on wall funding, even if they can get an end to birthright citizenship.

Seems like we all can agree on improving/enforcing e-Verify, though. So, that's a start.

I definitely lean left. And I'm in support of this compromise.

While it's true that Trump can't do it with an executive order, it doesn’t necessarily require a constitutional amendment.
