Your disingenuous argument is invalid on the basis that it’s predicated on straw man which you’ve created.

The caravan is coming from capitalist Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador.

America has never had capitalism, it has had state capitalism.

Real socialism is in Chiapas Mexico.

Why do thousands of immigrants and refugees want to come to America when Venezuela is right in their neck of the woods?
It's a question that deserves an answer from our friends on the left. My guess would be....$$$$

Your fault is you think Socialism is Marxism or Stalinism or Communism.. and see, by that you already failed.
The definition of socialism is collective (or state/government) ownership of the means and distribution of production. To what extent is that the case in Scandinavian countries? I understand that the nation of Norway owns the largest share of their oil industry, but off the top of my head, I don't know of other examples.

For the most part-these countries are very much Capitalist, with private ownership of the means of production and voluntary agreements between owners, customers and employees. They have generous social programs, funded with extremely high taxes. But the source of the funding is, at least largely, Capitalist.

Slightly different take-is there anywhere that has nationalized their industries that are doing well?

Which are state capitalist places as well. Or state socialism. It doesn't matter because it's all statism anyway.

The only thing that Venezuela proves is that you shouldn't build your country around one industry.

Donny loves to rail against the caravans, claiming they're full of criminals. Maybe he's afraid of the competition?

We are a social Democracy.. So every time somebody Rightwinged talks about Democrats want Socialism, they mean Communism. While is very clear that 95% of the posters on the left who talk about socialism, does not want communism, but a Social Democracy, like the Scandinavian model.

So, when Bernie Sanders and AOC talks about they want to be more Socialist, like Denmark. That means a Social Democracy.. not Communism.

I live in Norway and earn 2x the national average salary as do my wife.. and I pay 36% tax.. Is that much? I think its a bargain for everything we get in return?
