America is hardly the closest country to Honduras that these refugees could go to for asylum.
Mexico has offered asylum, many refused.
What you have to also understand is these people are being underwritten and financed to come HERE by Soros-paid groups. The leftwing journalists from CNN that accompany the caravans all see the large trucks accompanying these 'migrants'. One for food, one for medical care, one for bathroom needs. But their cameramen never show them. Why not? It would destroy the narrative by showing what is really going on. Soros isn't paying them to trek to Mexico or Honduras. There wouldn't be any political value in that.
To be honest, those people marching to the USA are being funded by very wealthy democrat supporters who hope to rush them in, give them citizenship and get more democrat votes so they have complete control of this country forever. And then watch the real terror begin.

#1 France isn't truly socialist. They have a capitalist free market economy with a larger social safety net. Although France's overall economic freedom is below ours - the freedom of their businesses are on par with ours.
#2 North Koreans are sneaking into China because it is on a peninsula and the border with South Korea is more heavily guarded. Oh and China is a lot better than North Korea in just about every way.

Well, here, at least for now, there is socialism without totalitarianism. And illegals get special treatment instead of jail. Or at least that's how it has been. This brings to mind the news footage of pregnant women in the caravans smiling and patting their pregnant bellies. Their ticket to free stuff, or so they thought. Including citizenship since they thought their bambino was going to be a citizen.
In Venezuela they could look forward to birth in a detainment camp. Here the whole family could stay and play. At least by Pelosi rules.
