This is truly an accurate analysis from D'nesh D'souza. He nails it when he says the crime here is "the perpetrator masquerading as the victim" and the Left's acceptance of such crimes with an attitude of "When it works, it works and when it doesn't we get away with it."
He mentioned the Kavanaugh affair as an example. None of the Kavanaugh accusers have paid any price at all for their accusations, none of which could be corroborated. D'souza could well have also cited the Duke lacrosse players whose families spent upwards of $1M each to clear their sons of the crime of which they were accused.
Stay on topic, folks. Posts about politicians' reactions to this are fine. Going off on a diatribe of things that have nothing to do with the whole Jussie Smollett case are not.
Typically I would say in a situation like this, Jussie would get a slap on the wrist.
But honestly, I'm not so sure.
I don't think he's going to do hard time, but I don't think this is going away anytime soon - especially when the moron used the US Mail. Those investigators don't play.
What I'm more dismayed about, and yet, not surprised in the slightest, is that there haven't been (more) calls to boycott Empire and fire Jussie. I mean, the SWJ's called for Roseanne's head on a platter in about .03 seconds.
This whole story and the reporting by the majority of news outlets started off as a hate crime that went on to blame...Yeah..you guess it Trump. Now that the truth has come out the Majority of news agencies have moved on without one word of either an apology or a retraction. In fact some of the politicians who weigh in on this like Pelosi or Booker have eliminated their tweets...what hypocrites.

Nothing is going to happen to Smollett...Why... because he is a liberal, black and gay.
Liberals were so keen to believe this story because this is what they think of America. They think America is an evil, racist, homophobic place. But, those of us who understand reality, know that America is the greatest thing that has ever existed. My Asian-American gay husband and I know this and everyone treats us equally and well.
You are what you think. If you think of yourself as a victim, you will be one. My husband hates being put into the 'people of color' at his workplace. He rightfully feels that label is degrading, as all people are people. We Republicans will continue to refuse Democrats' divisive tactics.

But he has a lot of melanin in his skin and he likes to have intercourse with people of his same sex.
On the Democrat left "Identity politics" hierarchy of power, this makes Smollett virtually untouchable, doesn't it? Not from the perspective of the law, but as far as being a target of the Democrat left social lynch mob, or from the media/news/entertainment industry for purposes of being fired from his job.
