Big tax cuts for the rich, crumbs for the rest of us. Meanwhile our deficit is climbing through the roof. Trump is making America worse again.

I'll never understand why poor, white Trump supporters just love carrying water for billionaires.

I call bs. The vast majority of people should see their taxes decrease. If your taxes increased, maybe you should vote to reduce your local state tax.
Lower middle class myself and my return was a little bit better. Is it worth skyrocketing deficits and runaway climate change for future generations? Heck no, I’m not a sell-out.

This is a seat that has been Blue for a long time. And it gives Trump an historic majority in the US Senate for this point in his tenure. Doesn't like like there's any seething at all except maybe by the always outraged leftist.
Ignoring what happened to the AZ seat and the house?

I think that with the states dire financial situation (they're the only state with a bond rating that is SIGNIFICANTLY lower than the other 49) that the state has been pulling money back from the county and city etc. levels and so to keep the lights on and the sewers flowing....the local property taxes have had to increase.

Now, all things in reasonable comparison...some states still have higher property taxes like Texas (no income tax though) and WI has really high property taxes.
IL is 2.32% (2018). Texas is 1.86%. Wisconsin is 1.95%. Not a big difference.

It seems you do not know the different between a state senate chamber and the US Senate.

The Republicans flipped a state senate seat in Minnesota:

Meanwhile, in the US Senate, Minnesota is still represented by two Democrats: Tina Smith and Amy Klobuchar.

This story is a crock. People are benefitting from the Trump tax cuts unless they are getting soaked by their blue-state government.
