Why not demand your local and state legislatures to stop ripping you off?

More mis-information. It was proposed by AOC that she would like to tax those making 10 Million Dollars or more at 70% on the money they make ABOVE 10 million dollars. But millions of Trumpists will continue to lie about what was actually proposed to deal with the ridiculous level of income inequality because they do not care about the issue of extreme income inequality.

They either do not know this, or refuse to acknowledge facts that they find inconvenient. They are just fine with Corporate Welfare.

Congrats however, now I know I'm voting for ANYONE but Trump.
Whether pro Trump or anti Trump, with these new tax laws, it feels like we are all screwed, brother.

Maybe you should start voting for politicians in NY who will lower your taxes. Need a tissue? I have no sympathy. NY consistently votes for liberals who want and implement higher taxes. There's no reason the rest of the country should subsidize your state and local taxes through a SALT deduction. You're just paying your "fair share" now, which is consistent with what the liberals in NY, particularly NYC, want to do based on their votes.

Think like how? That people in other states should be paying your high tax bill not you? The truth is liberals are fine with high tax rates as long as they don't have to pay them.

No you don't deserve a big tax loophole that others have to pay for.

As a Libertarian not a GOP / Trumper I was in favor of the tax cuts but I would have preferred essentially a flat tax that could be done on a post card. Getting rid of almost all deductions. I am fine with any state who wants to make taxes sky high but the residents of that state need to pay the taxes not myself in another state.

you did NOT lose SALT deductions..they were limited to 10k

so of my 13k property taxes I now can only write-off 10k... but it still is a write-off

Who is "we"? Was it Trump and the Congressional majority and the mass of states that had GOP legislators?

This is the thing with "we need to cut spending". Fine. Do it. Do it BEFORE you give money back to people out of our children's debt. Do it before you give money to billionaires and corporations that we can't pay back.

"Cutting spending", until then, is just code for ME ME ME. It's an excuse as to why people can balance the fact that they are getting pennies back and piling debt on their children.

If these are the "boom times and economic miracle" we've heard about many times then we should be able to balance the budget. In fact, I think we were 1/2 way there. But then many decided they preferred more debt and a little break now.

Putting it in Republican terms...if you ran a household budget would you go to the ATM and take money against an overdraft account....money that you didn't need, but was just for extra ice cream and a bigger engine in that new car you've been eying? I wouldn't.

We are seeing exactly the predicted results. More debt and deficit and a vast portion of the country unable to make it. My head is spinning because the GOP claimed they NOW cared about the forgotten man and woman....yet those very people are not better off. Yank their health care for your tax cut. No job training....unless they put themselves in student debt they likely can't pay off.

I don't need to cut my spending. So "we" is a mystery to me. I've always been willing to pay my tax bills and never cried or wrote a letter asking for a tax break.
