Say what you will of this strategy, this is how mob bosses are taken down. Yes, that does mean you use the word of liars and cheats... But you use it in coordination with evidence.

if there is evidence why not take it to Mueller or the FEC so they can audit the Trump campaign? why go to Congress in a political circus that is not going nowhere?

It will surely be found that Trump was behind a bunch of things considered unethical but little if nothing illegal. It will be up to the voters to decide if a president can venture too far unethical and needs voted out.

Nope. Per the law in New York, only one party has to consent. You can record your own conversations, but not those of two or more other parties without the consent of one of them.

He's scheduled to check into prison on May 6 for three years. If he is caught lying to Congress he faces another five years on top of that.

What would he have to gain by intentionally lying to Congress in his entirely voluntary testimony? Cohen has said from the time he turned himself in that he wanted to confess, pay the penalty, and get the whole thing behind him and get on with his life. He is going to tell the entire truth before Congress, God, and everybody, beginning in another six hours. Get your popcorn ready.

It is most interesting that since his testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee yesterday, not even the most vicious of his opponents has come forth to leak anything about what he had to say and condemn him for saying it. Their silence means he left them stunned by what he had to say, and they had no way to refute it. To the Trump supporters, Brace Yourselves. The world is going to see history in the process of being made today.

Yeah, it doesn't look good going forward.

Adam Schiff and Elijah Cummings will put to rest all the rumors floating around DC that Peter Strzok and Andrew McCabe invented an "insurance policy" against the free and fair election of Donald Trump to the presidency, i.e., Russia-gate.

Perfectly reasonable explanations will be provided for Fifth-pleading Glenn Simpson's meetings with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya before and after the Trump Tower meeting.

The fact that the wife of a top Obama DOJ official (Nellie Ohr) was employed by Fusion GPS and refused to testify before Congress, citing spousal privilege, will be clarified.

The fact that Simpson and Veselnitskaya both worked on the Prevezon case in 2014 - a Russian company based in Cyprus was accused of laundering money through NY real estate - will be shown to be a coincidence, just like Russia scholar Nellie Ohr working for Fusion GPS on the Trump matter was a coincidence.

I'll bet Bob Mueller can answer your questions in detail, complete with a Powerpoint presentation.

It's amusing Individual 1 supporters are saying they don't believe Cohen yet Individual 1 believed Cohen for over 10 years and thought he was good enough to have access. Cohen will provide some credible testimony. Cohen is aware of all the evidence Mueller has on him. He has no reason to remain loyal to Individual 1. It's in his best interest, to be honest. Cohen doesn't want to be made an example of like Manafort.

Bob Mueller not only knows everything Cohen is going to say, he has okayed it and apparently allowed Cohen to bring hard evidence to support himself. Could be that Cohen is testifying at Mueller's request to get things out in front of the public that have the possibilty of being squelched in his final report.

We at home don't have a clue what kind of deals are being made in the dead of night, or what purpose they may be intended to serve.

The GOP is about to wet their collective pants. Cohen was Deputy Finance Director for the RNC. He knows all the dirt on all the republicans in addition to the Trump family. He would know, for instance, if there was any truth to the rumors about money laundering in the GOP fundraising outfit in Annapolis, Maryland that was raided by the FBI six days before Mueller's appointment.

The GOP, in a word, is petrified. That is why the war room and the video about enjoying jail. They are whistling past the graveyard.

When it is spent in conjunction with rigging an election. That makes it a campaign finance matter.
