Two reasons for this:

-2- If Trump leaves office before his term completes, Pence will become president, and this will not be counted as a term because it is under two years. As an incumbent he would have an advantage getting the nomination and could possibly (however unlikely) be in the white house for as much as 9 years.

I do understand that the right thing to do would be to clean the white house of Trump vermin and Trump stench, that would be the most moral and ethical approach to governing. However, I think most Democrats today are done with any idea of impeaching, unless more treason and/or corruption comes to light that can not ethically be ignored. For the long-term good of the country Trump is simply more useful as a real time example of the depravity and corruption of the Republican party than as a martyr.
Bingo.

Trump is not some aberration in the Republican party. Republicans have been heading here since Gingrich and Atwater.

Why should Democrats let them off the hook with impeachment?

That would mean SDNY was superseding the legal authority of the state when it is a federal LEO
We shall see. There are those who think they might try it.

Name a major political party in a developed nation that is to the right of the Republican Party.

According to the political calculators, the Democratic Party is slightly left of center. The republicans are the drifters.

Interestingly enough, the political spectrum calculators put Trump and Hillary much closer together than either party would like to own up to.

That's the whole point....cultural Marxism/Marxism has taken over every political party in the West.

There is no room for any sort of "conservatism" anymore since the entire West has been poisoned by Marxism.

The agenda of the Democrats is to find out the truth on whether actionable crimes have been committed by the president. I thought Cohen did quite an excellent job, particularly of pointing out where else to look and who to subpoena to testify for further elucidation. He did such a good job, as a matter of fact, that he was invited back to finish up next week. Sater, Junior, Ivanka, Weisselberg, Hannity, and a few others will be compelled to give testimony because of Mr. Cohen.

I would say America, not just the Democrats, owe him a debt of gratitude for his part in Making America Great Again.

Democratic Socialism and Marxism are two entirely different trains of thought. If you believe in roads, airports, police, fire, and Social Security, you are a Democratic Socialist. It can be argued that Trump wanting Americans to pay for a wall with tax monies is a Socialist act.

If you nationalize the means of production, such as Venezuela did with the oil industry, you are a Marxist. No one in their right mind wants Marxism except for the leaders who stand to profit.

So I guess you have no choice but to move to Russia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Nicaragua, etc. Too bad the West just isn't for you.
