With all these shocked residents I’m surprised they couldn’t round one up to interview.
Probably too scared they would be the target of a terrorist attack. But I have seen a report on this. I find it alarming because they are driving around in cars that are suspiciously close to the NYPD cars, and I thought it was against the law to be impersonating a police officer.
Another Community Watch Group. There are dozens in NYC.
They are dressed like cops complete with badges and driving cars that look just like NYPD cars complete with flashing lights. Apparently with the blessing of the city. This is highly problematic because it conveys the perception they have authority where they have none. Most areas of the country would never allow this with good reason and they would be arrested if they tried it.
