Impeachment has nothing to do with the US Supreme Court and they would not hear any case of an Impeachment. They ruled unanimously on that decades ago.

This is Blackmail and Coercion at its core. Nadler KNOWS he is going to fail at a Court Hearing, he hopes that Barr might succeed. It's doesn't matter what Congress might promise about Secrecy, the Law says "sealed", not "sealed" if you cross your heart and promise not to "tell".
What part of this is so hard to understand?

Nadler could have had Barr testify last week also. He purposely shot that down also. There is a purpose behind this and it's evil.

It's a trap for Barr. I'd love to be a fly in Barr's office the last week and know what's next on his plate.

The committee votes and the communist democrat party members, having more members, succeeds with a vote of contempt against A.G. Barr, along party lines. Predictable !!! Next, or at some point, it goes to the House rules committee then the full house.

That's why Democrats had a record turn out during midterms. To hold this lawless administration to account for their obstruction and coverup. Great first step holding Barr in contempt!

Looks like Jr has some explaining to do. It's not over McConnell!

Barr could have testified last week, its not a trap for him anymore than the various cabinet heads who have testified over the last several years in front of the house including FBI and DOJ.
All this will drag out in the courts until 2020.

One thing for sure these public hearings are a waste of time for both parties, they should be done behind closed doors away from TV cameras to avoid grandstanding.

Nadler seems confused - he claims that he never intended the Rule 6-e (Law against release) has anything at all to do with his Contempt resolution.

This could all fall apart today.

This is a hoot -- they have voted and now each member is asking to be reminded how they voted.
Looks like the Democrats are voting to attempt to force the US Attorney General to break US Law.
Strict Party Line vote --

Nadler is off to get his camera time to lie to the American people with the same lies he told in the committee.
He claims we are now into a constitutional crisis. Its one that he wanted and is getting, if true.

There is disagreement if this creates a constitutional crisis but the Nixon Tapes cited by Nadler is misinformation and apples to oranges comparison.

There should be no doubt that congress is contemptable. They proved it today.

That Barr sipping water shrug GIF works perfectly for this. Highly doubt he’s worried one bit

I swear I saw Barr testify last week. No problems. why did he need to testify again? Seem redundant and a waste of tax payers hard earned money. Is this some game, to ask the same questions worded differently and getting the same answers regardless?

You would think... this was a kid, mommy didn't get them the toy they wanted, while standing in the checkout.

At least they had Eric Holder caught in a crime. Barr is all political.
