Biden has been a public servant since before age 30, drawing a gov't paycheck. Yet he lives in a multi-million dollar lake front home, and his family net worth is probably in 10 figures. He doesn't even have any blockbuster book contracts to his credit, as with Bernie and Hillary.

You're misinformed. Fox explains how he's made all this money:
Thank you for the link, but it has zero about Hunter Biden, which was the focus of my post which you quoted. Let's open up the books on Hunter, or if not at least quit yowling about Trump's tax returns and remuneration from taxpayer money going to his hotels and so forth.
You are under-informed. See Peter Schweizer's book Secret Empires where he covers various DC clans including the Bidens, McConnells, Clintons, and Trumps.
No Joe and Hunter together. There are plenty of ways for trusted family members to pass assets back and forth. When the lion pride kills a wildebeest, the meat gets shared.
So-how can an investigation possibly be completed in the timeframe involved for the corruption case against Biden, his son, and the Umumumbama administration? Using the power of the US government to influence another country to drop an investigation against a (allegedly) corrupt business-simply because his son is an employee-is a serious charge. Don't we need special investigators and at least two years to dig up dirt on all involved? We must, that is the standard these days.
Oh, and of course the investigative team must be heavily staffed with outspoken critics of the person being investigated, just to ensure it's thorough.

Joe Biden released his tax returns.
You said he didn't have a lucrative book deal.
Joe Biden had a lucrative book deal.
Per Fox Business--
"Biden's three newly available tax returns show his family income jumped from $400,000 in 2016 to $11 million in 2017 as a result of his book deal."
Oh come on-there has been no "investigation". An investigation takes a team of lawyers (populated with individuals highly biased against the person they are investigating). At least 2 years of work. Dozens of leaks to the press. A media that fabricates stories based on leaks and rumors. Oh and a few million dollars. Time to appoint the team to look into this thoroughly, right now.
Oh, I forgot, the FBI needs to break into Biden's lawyers house and take all documentation in his possession to give them more directions to investigate. And of course dream up something to charge said lawyer with to make him talk.

Uh, there is a tape of Joe Biden threatening to withhold funds if the prosecutor is not removed, which is exactly the type of quid pro quo that they are accusing Trump of
No. As I understand it, the investigation of Hunter Biden was already done, and the prosecutor needed to be removed because of a pattern of corruption. Since we are sending funds to Ukraine, we want to make sure that they go to the right place. That kind of quid pro quo is done all the time in international relations. Things like "you will get military aide if you buy our corn," or "we will give you a good deal on X if you clean up the gangs in your country," or a lot of other deals that have been made over the years. Trump's quid pro quo was different because he was not negotiating deals for the good of the country; he was negotiating an exchange of public funds for his own personal gain. That is materially different, and an impeachable offense. Then there is the cover-up....
Uh, there is a tape of Joe Biden threatening to withhold funds if the prosecutor is not removed . . .
Uh, where?
