Reading a book to a child is hardly coming after them.
And so you have no problem as long as they are in the closet and not normalized.
Women, men, read books -- why not a drag queen.....so what. When you read a book to a child you don't force your sexuality on them.

On what do you base this vague premise? For one thing, LGBTQ deserve equal rights, so lobbying for them is justified. Rights aren't just for straight white people. And I don't know where you get this "delighting in shocking straight people" idea. This isn't the 1950s Beaver Cleaver era. This is 2019. America is full of individuals of all races, ethnicities, sexes, and orientations. We are not all alike.
No we're not all alike. But if you read - really read - the responses to this thread so far, it will tell you a lot about how people really feel re: gays. Your knee jerk diatribe doesn't do yourself any favors. You don't hear. You don't listen. You just mindlessly, lemming-like attack, and spout rhetorical talking points that are frankly getting old. The other big part is that every freak, loser, social outcast and jerk-off now has a platform via the D Party and social media, to scream and yell at the world. And everybody in it. THEY give those who are truly discriminated against (normal people who are gay and who just quietly want to live their lives in peace) a bad name.

There is some suggestion that today’s high school and college age kids are turning on political correctness of all kinds including on the homosexuals. PC propaganda is embedded in their education, entertainment and its is constantly preached at them. Many of them secretly despise it and openly make fun of PC protected groups. Millennials believe the new Gen z or I gen, whatever we are calling them is on their side. They believe these kids will be their lieutenants in a PC driven socialist revolution. What a shock it would be if this young generation rebels against all this leftist indoctrination they have faced. What if these kids are the key to undoing all this PC. If you think about it many of them must hate it, no one likes indoctrination.
The leftists should not just assume the I Gen belongs to them. Time will tell
Most people generally don't like the idea that some claim to be a "minority" based on the kind of sexual activity they like to perform in the bedroom or what gender they identify with.
I’m fine with weddings, kissing in public, adopting children... doing anything that I can do with the opposite sex as a straight person.
They absolutely have no rights beyond those of straight people.
Straight people read to children and march in the streets looking like idiots all the time.
