The spin that Mulvaney and other co-conspirators will be putting on this, as they attempt to walk-back his remarks, will be classic and take the art of sanitizing statements that were made in haste, to a new level.
It will be interesting to see how long Mulvaney lasts after this. Not only did he admit complicity in the quid pro quo, he added more information that we didn't even know about. Amusing part was the reporter who just kept asking him is disbelief; "so you are actually confirming there was a quid pro quo?". The list of shysters willing to work in the Trump Administration gets shorter every day, who will he replace Mulvaney with?
I encourage you to watch the ENTIRE 39-1/2 minute video including all the context given, BEFORE you continue with your false assertions. FWIW, you can skip the G7 Summit part if you want by starting at 18:35 although I still believe you should watch the entire video because just as soon as Mulvaney opened the floor to questions, every single one by every reporter appeared desperate at finding that "gotcha" question.
I encourage you to stop trying to spin away the reality that Mulvaney admitted that there was a quid pro quo, on live TV. I guess those reporters desperate to find the "gotcha" question found it after all, eh?
Your attempt to rewrite reality is just a different version of the old Trumpist's defense of: "He didn't say that. And if he did, you didn't understand it. And if he did say that, it's not a big deal, others have said worse".
Yesterday the Trump Administration lied again and again. Pence, Pompeo, Mulvaney and of course Trump all told obvious lies, to try and correct the downward slide of Trump's poll number's. The polls are showing that Trump is weakening our country.
The polls are also showing the inquiry needs to move on. Move to impeachment, then the Senate trial. I pity any Senator who does not vote to remove Trump.

I doubt he can. There's never been a case of rats jumping onto a sinking ship.
Besides - where would he ever manage to find a lawyer more inept than Mulvaney for the job? Giuliani already has his hands full.

"Gotcha" question? If there's nothing to "get" Mulvaney wouldn't have a problem.
What you're saying is you are objecting to reporters 'getting' to the truth. Which is their job.
The Whitehouse has told so many lies, they've forgotten which ones they are supposed to be passing off as truth.
