I think the longer they wait to take a vote on impeachment the more treachery on the president will be uncovered. This way all who supported him will go down with him. It will be a "house cleaning" of sorts.

From the White House to the "big house".

What's the rush? Watching Trump twisting in the wind is worth the wait.

Are you sure the Democrats want to do that after failing so miserably with Kavanaugh and Mueller?

Failed with Muller?

People very close to the President went to jail. When was the last Republican investigation that put someone in jail?

Whether the impeachment vote happens is totally dependent upon the inquiry. As facts emerge the Representatives will have to decide. Nothing wrong with checking the facts, which is what the closed door hearings are for, and what they have always been for. (It's not like this process was just invented, secure rooms have been in place for many years and used for many inquiries over the decades).

It is true that the Republicans in the Senate may not convict if articles of impeachment are forwarded to them. There will always be a question about whether they voted on the facts, or voted on their party loyalty.

Yes, it is time for everyone to chose whether they are going to do the right thing or the politically expedient thing. This is a risky business now. We will all live with the consequences.

Anyone else notice?

The DC Pubs aren't "defending" tRump by saying he isn't guilty.

They're just yipping and yapping about how "unfairly" he's being treated.

Didn't teabagger Trey Gowdy hold closed hearings in his Benghazi "investigation?"

Poor ol tRump; he's just a victim.
