Doesn't matter. How many are abandoning their children? THAT is the problem but instead it's the false racism charge that's keeping blacks, as a group, back.
Careful....if you point out that the high out-of-wedlock rate is largely responsible for poverty and suggest that a reduction in that rate would close the gap between white and black success rates, you'll be called a racist. The only acceptable comment, per liberals, are to blame ALL problems within the black community on external factors.

Careful...you might sound like a racist by lying via saying blacks are blaming ALL their problems on racism, as opposed to what the are really blaming on racism, which is the differential between the two groups. You might also sound like a racist by ignoring that high poverty rates produces higher oowb rates and that higher poverty rates in blacks was the legacy aftermath from the oppression of blacks.
Reparations do not fix the problems of our past or change racism in the future and would probably only make matters worse. What we need is systematic change and plans like what Mayor Pete Buttigieg has proposed in his Douglass Plan. It’s quite impressive and would go much further for helping black people than any reparations ever could. I encourage people to check it out. It’s brilliant.
When white folks tell stories like this, and I totally accept the veracity of your story, you are comparing yourself to other whites. My folks were born in the depression and they did not notice any difference than any other time. When depression was over they could not tell in their lives.
Do you honestly think that POOR white people and POOR black people were seen as EQUAL in the 1930's? All you had to do was break out of poverty.....all black people had to do was escape out of blackness. No amount of education or hard work would allow you to escape being black in 1930. This is not to suggest that SOME blacks did not manage to be successful. There are always the EXCEPTIONAL and the LUCKY in any population and therefore those who beat the odds. I am talking about the TYPICAL. The TYPICAL black person had no escape for blackness.

Are you another white person claiming to know what’s best for blacks more than they do? What you correctly understand is what is best for white peoples and how whites would hate being forced to help blacks so much that it would create a violent and economic backlash from whites onto blacks. That is what you know. You don’t know what we need or what works best for us. This is about a YOU.
The burden of proof is on you. If you're going to claim that someone owes reparations for their crimes and the color of their skin is all the proof needed you're engaging in racist stereotyping.
