Of course it is possible, nothing is guaranteed and polls do not give a good indication of Electoral College outcomes, just the popular vote which doesn't count. You never count your chickens before they hatch.
If the masses objectively saw their personal financial health as a primary determining factor at the ballot box, nobody in their right mind would vote Democrat in 2020. That doesn't make the Republican party a great party by any stretch of the imagination, but it does serve as a reminder that even if you believe them to be bad, your goal should not be to replace bad with worse.
We have had good economies from the last two Dem admins, both required to pull us out of a recession of the previous GOP admin's making. Trump is hurting people so much that he feels the need to redistribute wealth to them. Whether it is because he feels guilty due to them hurting do to HIS policy or whether he is trying to bribe them into voting for him, this is not a sign of a 'healthy' economy.
Can you expand a little on what you think they are screwing up (e.g, running too far to the left, etc.)? Also, just curious if you are an independent, Republican, libertarian, etc?
Pelosi explained it for you over the weekend:
"Speaker Nancy Pelosi is issuing a pointed message to Democrats running for president in 2020: Those liberal ideas that fire up the party’s base are a big loser when it comes to beating President Donald Trump.
“What works in San Francisco does not necessarily work in Michigan,” Pelosi said at a roundtable of Bloomberg News reporters and editors on Friday. “What works in Michigan works in San Francisco — talking about workers’ rights and sharing prosperity. “Remember November,” she said. “You must win the Electoral College.”
Criticize and mock Trump all you want. Push for Medicare for all, the New Green Deal, Free tuition, transsexual surgery, reparations, free housing for all, etc., for the next 11 months. Count on impeachment to get him out of office. Even win the popular vote again. Watch the D tears flow November 3, 2020.
Joe Sixpack is barely making it and the Dem woke brigade does this and argue that boys who think they are girls should change for gym with Joe Sixpack's daughter.
Im surprised the Dems have forgotten Its the economy stupid
1990 Its the economy stupid
2020 Its the stupid stupid
Neither does this. Americans may not be interested i the 'Gini coefficient,' but they sure do know when they are getting screwed.
"...Income inequality is worsening across the U.S. even as the economy extends the longest expansion in the country's history. New data from the U.S. Census Bureau show that the gulf between the highest earners and everyone else is the widest it's been in at least 50 years..."
"...In 2018, America's Gini coefficient rose to 0.485 — that is "significantly higher" than its score the previous year, according to the bureau...."
"Some critics contend that the new U.S. tax code, signed into law by President Donald Trump at the end of 2017, is exacerbating the problem because the lion's share of the tax breaks go to the wealthy..."
You have mastered the art of understatement - many fold.
PS America has rejected, and wants no part of what you refer to as normal. The swamp was "normal". Influence peddling ala the Bidens was "normal". Those days are coming to an end, and it is well past time.
I always that the Clintons were the poster child for corruption, now its the Biden because its an election year. So tell me what has Trump done to drain the swamp other than fill it with more, was it Flynn, Manfort, Scott Pruitt or Giuliani, maybe it had to do with allowing his son in law to act as secretary of state. Maybe it was his weekly commutes to Mar-A-Lago,
Economy here took a dump in the final years of W, finally started turning around by the end of Obama's first term, and was going gangbusters by 2016.
Just because things weren't going well in Rustbucket, West Virginia doesn't mean that other places weren't doing great
Well yeah, you had Democrats in control of congress for the final years of W so of course the economy took a dump....the same was true for the first part of Obama's first term.....then Republicans took back the House and that greatly helped things. By 2012 the Republicans had the entire congress back and that led to a greatly improved economy and fortunately despite Democrats taking back the House they haven't managed to screw things up too badly.
Every time you have Democrats in control of congress, it leads to the economy tanking. It's just how it is. Republicans have terrible ideas too, but they usually aren't quite as bad for the economy as those of their counterparts.

LOL, it's literally just facts that are easily verified. Call them an inconvenient truth.
