The way I see it, is the cards are going to play out how they will and we will find out the social ramifications of the way society is set up.
50% of Americans have 401Ks and that is more than a few hands. I’ve never made 80k in a year but I will retire quite comfortably at 62. Of course I’ve only bought one new automobile my entire life.

They're "strapped" because they've chosen to live beyond their means. A frugal lifestyle isn't glamorous and sacrifices have to be made. Too many people are unwilling to live within their means because of an utterly absurd sense of entitlement.

The wealth gap converged during the Great Recession. Fact

The best way government could address the gap is to privatize ss. Of course we almost all have wealth in the current value of our future social security and Medicare benefits. You don’t find this wealth reflected in the hate the rich stats.

Vanguard S&P 500 index fund. Ya ain’t gonna beat the rich, join them.
So that’s a no, you’re lying.

Thought so.

I want to hear your suggestions as to what to do about it.

That much wealth concentrated in 1% is an unhealthy situation, they are capable of having their way with dark money going to politicians. A healthy middle class is key to any democratic society, this type of tilt in the system is dangerous.

It is the truth about many people.

Why is it a bad thing if some people are better entrepreneurs and financial risk takers than other people?

Isn’t that what creates jobs for most Americans?

Real median household income is at a record high.

I’m trying to find that. I’m thinking with boomers ageing there would be a downward trend in the last decade partially offset by recovery from the Great Recession.

It's been good to me. I retired at 55 with a very healthy retirement portfolio. Not because of dems or Republicans, but in spite of them.

I don't need elected reps managing my cash or my future. They care about power and lining their own pockets, not about me.

Why would I trust such politicians as Bernie Sanders, AOC, Warren, Pelosi, Waters, Lee, Rangel, Boxer or Feinstien?

No if you care about your future or about your today then it is your responsibility to take ownership of it. I watch what the big dogs are investing in. Pay attention to the people in the know.
