Hmm, a math error? Mississippi 4th grade math score is 231, not 241.

Not sure why you resorted to even making such a claim. We can have an honest conversation without trying to put words inn people's mouths.

Yes, illegals tend to have lower education levels, and that does indeed bring down the test scores of the overall population. (thats not the same as being intellectually inferior by the way)

Minneapolis and St. Paul are heavily Democratic and have horrible schools, they also have some of the best quality suburbs in the country and much of the state is extremely liveable.

Massachusetts has a Republican governor

New Jersey had a Republican governor until very recently.
LOL, funny how you attack Minnesota in one thread, but love them in another. Same thing with that " they have a republican governor line"

That seems like a ton of dough considering it was during the 1980s, generally speaking.

Perhaps since I was in the ghetto they had permission to throw more coin at us bottom feeders. I suppose it was money well spent. I'd venture to say 7 out of 10 kids I went to school with were either dead or serving a long stint in the joint by the time they turned 21.
Perhaps in your district they did spend that much. Or maybe cost per student was higher back then. Or maybe they spent more on you and other minorities because you don't understand math and testing is so unfair that it required additional tutoring so you could get up to speed.

That's what the liberals seem to believe anyway.

Would you like the property tax information, as well?

It can be used as a comparison from one state to another. That's why the poster mentioned it and why I posted it.

1) I asked a question. That's how I took your statement. But I asked if I misunderstood you. There was nothing facetious about my question.

2) As I also mentioned in my post, however, a similar argument can be used to counter the common leftist talking points against the two conservatives states they seem to love to pick on (Alabama and Mississippi). Blacks are significant percentages of the population in both states and regularly underperform their white classmates. Ultimately, however, those arguments don't hold water as the states are governed by leftists or conservatives (in the case of California and Alabama/Mississippi). Thus, they are ripe for partisan criticism.

Hopefully the OP will be proud to note that Mississippi has the highest paid state school superintendent in the nation.

If you want to go down that road, the two conservative states that leftists seem to love to pick on (Alabama and Mississippi) have significant percentages of African Americans, who routinely underperform their white counterparts in education statistics. Are they "lower education," too and are they to blame for these states' poor showing
Years before I actually joined, I was reading a particular thread on CD.

A poster from Massachusetts was bragging about superior test scores in MA vs TX, and went on and on in that vein.

A poster from Texas joined that thread and pointed out....with links to prove it....that if you broke the results of that testing down into the traditional race and ethnic categories that were tracked, that the score levels in each category were virtually the same for each of those two states.

The poster from Massachusetts immediately disappeared from that thread.
