what I get the biggest kick outta is the Dems whining about the Republicans showing partiality and won't conduct a fair trial.

but they have no problem with these jurors (Senate Democrats running for President) remarks before the Articles ever reach the Senate. No partiality here huh? you want fair? lol

Bernie Sanders --

"But this is what I will say, what I will say is that I believe that the Trump administration is probably the most corrupt administration, maybe in the history of the United States and I think the impeachment process will only further educate the American people to the degree as to how corrupt.”

Liz Warren --

"If he were anyone other than president of the United States, he would be in handcuffs and indicted," Warren said.

Cory Booker --

“Today is a sad and sobering moment for the country. Three months ago, the House of Representatives embarked on a solemn path to gather the facts, uncover the truth, and uphold the rule of law — and what has been revealed is disturbing. We have been presented with alarming evidence that an American president abused the powers of his office for personal gain, compromised U.S. national security interests, and indiscriminately defied and obstructed the investigation into his misconduct.

Amy Kloubaucher --

Washington (CNN) Sen. Amy Klobuchar said Sunday that she can't see herself voting in President Donald Trump's favor should the House impeachment inquiry into the President move to a trial in the Senate.

ARTICLE I: ABUSE OF POWER

The Constitution provides that the House of Representatives "shall have the sole Power of Impeachment" and that the President "shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors". In his conduct of the office of President of the United States—and in violation of his constitutional oath faithfully to execute the office of President of the United States and, to the best of his ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, and in violation of his constitutional duty to take care that the laws be faithfully executed—Donald J. Trump has abused the powers of the Presidency, in that:

Using the powers of his high office, President Trump solicited the interference of a foreign government, Ukraine, in the 2020 United States Presidential election. He did so through a scheme or course of conduct that included soliciting the Government of Ukraine to publicly announce investigations that would benefit his reelection, harm the election prospects of a political opponent, and influence the 2020 United States Presidential election to his advantage. President Trump also sought to pressure the Government of Ukraine to take these steps by conditioning official United States Government acts of significant value to Ukraine on its public announcement of the investigations. President Trump engaged in this scheme or course of conduct for corrupt purposes in pursuit of personal political benefit. In so doing, President Trump used the powers of the Presidency in a manner that compromised the national security of the United States and undermined the integrity of the United States democratic process. He thus ignored and injured the interests of the Nation.

President Trump engaged in this scheme or course of conduct through the following means:

(1) President Trump—acting both directly and through his agents Within and Outside the United States Government?corruptly solicited the Government of Ukraine to publicly announce investigations into—

(A) a political opponent, former Vice President Joseph R. Biden,; and
(B) a discredited theory promoted by Russia alleging that Ukraine—rather than Russia—interfered in the 2016 United States Presidential election.
(2) With the same corrupt motives, President Trump—acting both directly and through his agents within and outside the United States Government—conditioned two official acts on the public announcements that he had requested—

(A) the release of $391 million of United States taxpayer funds that Congress had appropriated on a bipartisan basis for the purpose of providing vital military and security assistance to Ukraine to oppose Russian aggression and which President Trump had ordered suspended; and
(B) a head of state meeting at the White House, which the President of Ukraine sought to demonstrate continued United States support for the Government of Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression.
(3) Faced with the public revelation of his actions, President Trump ultimately released the military and security assistance to the Government of Ukraine, but has persisted in openly and corruptly urging and soliciting Ukraine to undertake investigations for his personal political benefit.

These actions were consistent with President Trump's previous invitations of foreign interference in United States elections.

It's worth noting you agree Mr. Trump has been impeached, personally I'm glad to hear as no one's interest is being served by clinging onto nonsensical arguments.

Now that we're over that nonexistent hurdle, don't you think it's about time the White House offers up a viable defense?

On impeachment, Trump’s defenders have no defense

Of course we do! That is why we would like trump to provide testimony that may, or may not, contradict the testimony under oath from Sondland stating that trump wanted an investigation announcement before the congressional appropriated (tax paid) funds would be released.

As is stands, Sondland's testimony, given under oath, stands as evidence.

You keep posting this like I've not read them before? Not sure your point?

You have to provide something to defend over.....just because the house impeached trump, does not mean they had any viable reason to impeach....we know at least 2 house dems, who did not give a damn about any evidence...and these were the ones who were open and honest about it...

2 dem house member don't care about that....if sondlands never testified, and the vote still happened, there were 2 house dems that would have voted to impeach....

McConnell and the Republican Senators are all engaged in America's biggest cover-up and they are doing it brazenly and out in the open for all to see. They are obstructing witnesses and ignoring a subpoena for written documents. They are shirking their Constitutional duty. It won't be a trial in the true meaning of the word, just a sham vote.

Rudy Giuliani says he wants to testify. Let him! That'll be must-see TV and immensely entertaining. He'll manage to make Trump look more guilty while perjuring himself at the same time. Talk, Rudy, just keep talking, LOL.

We are talking about 2 house dems that voted who did not care if there was any evidence, period.

Or are you saying "impeach the MF" girl did care about evidence?

Or how about the "impeach 45" girl cared about any evidence?

If it was a real court, they would have both been thrown out....and not allowed to vote....

There was conclusive testimony and evidence. Trump didn't disappoint.
