Funny enough, the terrorist who was killed not only was behind the recent embassy attack in Iraq, but he was also behind a previous attack on an US embassy when a weaker president was in office. If that president had handled that situation as well as this one did, perhaps this most recent embassy attack wouldn't have taken place. Unfortunately that president did nothing about it so the terrorist leader was able to continue killing Americans and planning terrorist attacks.....but he won't be doing that anymore.
Who told you that.
The Benghazi embassy was attacked by members of Ansar al-Sharia (Libyan terrorists)....this General wasn't a part of that group.
The General that was killed has been the target of multiple assassination attempts by the SAudis and Israel over the years. We better be in this for the right reasons and not for some favor to those countries..........
I’d love to see your complete list of the world’s most ‘technologically savvy’ countries.
Mea culpa, if you think I should have said "more" instead of "most". Either ranking, they're capable of cybercooking our goose.
Quote:
Iran has rapidly improved its cyber capabilities. It is still not in the top rank of cyber powers, but it is ahead of most nations in strategy and organization for cyber warfare. Iran has a good appreciation for the utility of cyber as an instrument of national power. Its extensive experience in covert activities help guide its strategy and operations using cyber as a tool for coercion and force, and it has created a sophisticated organizational structure to manage cyber conflict.
This means any attack on the United States will not be accidental but part of a larger strategy of confrontation.
Iran sees cyberattacks as part of the asymmetric military capabilities it needs to confront the United States.
Just because you prefer responding to acts of war with cowardice and weakness doesn't mean that those who see things differently are "chickenhawks"
Your favored policies paved the way for this current incident to happen.
Nah, your support for expansionism and the 2003 invasion of Iraq got the USA into a place it shouldn't have been in the first place. How did toppling Saddam work out for the USA, and for the Iraqis? Getting rid of Saddam actually increased the Iranian influence into Iraq, you know.
Trying to equate jingoism with strength just shows foolishness and lack of judgment on your part. Being a realist isn't cowardly or weak - just being smart and knowing the long game.
You don't know what you're getting into - keep chest beating all you want.

It's news that is more than 5 years old. Soleimani coordinated terrorist attacks in multiple countries. He was the guy to plan and provide weapons for the Benghazi attack. Iran acts through terrorist organizations, and Soleimani was their main guy when it came to that.
Look - there is no question the guys killed were 'bad guys' but let's hope there was much thought to put to the potential for even more attacks as a result.
Ben Read, senior cyber-espionage analyst for FireEye, told POLITICO on Friday. Read added that the leader of the latest campaign — an Iranian government-connected hacker group known as APT33 or Refined Kitten — has been linked to destructive attacks using that have wiped computers at targets like the giant oil and gas company Saudi Aramco.

Oh I know he is a bad guy....but I wanted to see the intelligence info you had to say he was the guy that planned and provided the weapons. I couldn't find anything.
