Which would NOT have happened had we NOT been there in the first place.

Now all this does is cause more troops to be deployed to the region as a 'precaution.'

Over 16 years in that mess of a place, billions and billions and billions of US taxpayer money wasted, tens of thousands of US troops killed or maimed, while we have problems protecting American borders and feeding and housing our homeless. That is beyond obscene and has nothing to do with political affiliation but common sense and decency.

President Trump, please bring back ALL our Americans home. NOW.

It doesn't work that way. You see, trying to equate Iranian leaders to al Baghdadi is a false equivalency, he was not al Baghdadi, nor is he and his group Sunni Islamic terrorists, regardless of what Pompeo is saying.

All we are insuring is that there will be retaliation and more American resentment, and for what? Because conservative warmongers have had Iran in their sights since they sacked Iraq and left it a twisted, smoking wasteland run by criminal gangs, religious extremists and warlords.

It doesn't matter to warmongers the outcome, only that they get to use their high tech toys and kill lots of people. Americans will be left to help clean up the mess, be it through dead soldiers, PTSD, exploding debt, or future terrorist attacks.

This is how empires fall, hubris and recklessness.

Show your love for Trump.

Did you do it when Obama did the surge? You guys were ready to go to war with Russia over the Kurds in Syria. Iran has been saying they will kill us, they will destroy us... if they want war then they asked for it.

Peanuts. Strong partners China is making there with Iran and their economy the size of Tennessee. Chinese allies are Iran, Russia and NK? Good luck with that.

But is it wise to be so accommodating to the idea?

I find it odd the Iraqi Shia militia had no problems with gunning down Iraqi youth trying to protest the Iran embassy recently.

It really does work that way though. The vast majority of terrorist efforts are spent over there which means they can't focus on attacking the US over here. How many major terrorist attacks were there during the height of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars?

Also, these guys literally are terrorists. Iran uses terrorist groups to serve as proxies to attack those they can't attack more directly.

Again, I understand you are in mourning right now, but you aren't making much sense. Perhaps we'll talk about this after you get over your grief due to the loss of such highly prominent enemies of the US.

I'm in mourning over the prospect of another Middle East disaster like the invasion of Iraq in 2003, the one you screamed yourself hoarse over in support of.

How'd that work out for ya?

That's understandable, many thousand enemies of the US died due as a result of that. I imagine the pain was nearly unbearable for you. You have my sympathy.

Murdering one of the top generals of a nation is an act of war against that nation in anyone's book. What is Trump thinking? Never mind...
