The H1N1 fly the Trumpies keep referring to had a fatality rate of about.03% about 1/3rd of the regular flu compared to a fatality rate of certainty over 1% for the current crisis. A crisis which even Donald Trump recognizes.

Look at the measures South Korea and China took to control the spread of the virus. Now look out your window into your local community. Do they look similar? No?

Ok, so maybe lets stop using China as a comparison given that they had guys in hazmat suits restricting social movement and implementing tests recorded in personalized QR codes and we have Spring Breakers running around Florida and governors and congressmen tweeting that its a great time to take your family out to dinner. SMDH.

The media wanted us to freak out over all those things but the medical crisis just wasn't bad enough to justify it. Last year the mumps and measels were a hyped as a political football and there were only a few dozen cases, tops.
So this is as big as a hurricane the weather channel goes ape **** over. Will it be a category one or a category five? Doesn't matter, to them its the end of the world and a reason to make some political attacks.

Because right or wrong, it's the Media that drives public opinion.

And public opinion is what drives policy.

The Media decides what to report on and how to report on it.

And they're just as biased and agenda driven as everyone else is.

There's no such thing as politicly neutral anymore.

Not in people.

Not in Corporations.

Not in politicians.

Not in the Judiciary.

And most certainly not in the Media.

They also went door to door, and if you were sick, took you and put you into one of 4 categories of quarantine, AND took everyone who lived there, and put them in a different category of quarantine.

How did the all powerful media let Trump get elected in the first place?

The NBA didn’t close their doors for PR reasons.

The fatality rate for Covid-19 is completely theoretical.

They don't know the actual fatality rate yet and may never know.

Because 80% of cases show mild or no symptoms and go untested and unrecorded in calculating the rate.

Which means it's probably much lower than what were being told.

Lol... I swear Conservatives are going to get themselves killed in droves. Of all the countries battling CV, whose methods does the US resemble? It's damn sure not SK or China. Why would you think our outcomes are going to be similar to theirs? Like saying China used 2+2 to get 4, so if I use 2+1 I should get 4 too. Bc we both used 2?

According to the medical professionals I know, unless we take drastic action Italy-style shift is going to hit the fan in about 10 days. Seeing these fools downplaying the problem and predicting a flattening out in April have been proved wrong is going to be the least satisfying "I told you so" ever.

Exactly right, but that won't stop the politically-motivated hysteria pushers from doing their thing.
