Switzerland is not in Northern Europe. But yes, it is not doing well, too close to Italy I suppose.
In fact, Scandinavia is doing better now, they used to have higher numbers days ago.

Mexico is probably not international and global enough.

This narrative is everywhere. You cannot deny it.
And here again we have yet another Trump fool who has no clue what the term exponential growth means. Nope, got to present all the cases by this upcoming Friday or the whole thing was a hoax.

Sorry, but the coronavirus is not playing by your arbitrary schedule. But not to worry, little Trumpie, we have real experts who know what's going on, even as you display your complete and utter ignorance in post after post after post.

It doesn't matter this is a hype or what not, the whole world is watching!

Anybody cannot contain this disease will suffer. It is not just the lives lost, (well, certainly majority of the people will survive), it is the economic impact as well.

Not to go on one of my famous AnCap diatribes

But the reasoning is simple: Under statism the populace is completely dependent on the State for not only protection and order but also cues on how to behave.

That's the first problem.

The second problem, of course, is the State itself.

If you were independently allowed to put personal market pressures on other individuals (and vice versa) we would get a true measure of what exactly people wanted to do and would do as far as quarantines/closures go.

There's no motivation to self-regulate nor is there any motivation to apply market pressure.

These decisions are best made by State and Local authorities.

From a different article:

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/07/w...il&login=email

Roadblocks have sealed off cities, public transportation has been shut down and private cars have been mostly banned from the roads. In Wuhan, restrictions on individual movement have been stepped up in recent weeks, with residents now mostly barred from leaving their homes.

Among residents in Hubei [the province that contains Wuhan], there are signs that anger and frustration are mounting. Chinese social media sites are flooded with posts from residents saying they have lost their jobs because of the extended lockdown, making it difficult to make payments on mortgages and loans. Others have described food shortages in their communities.

On Thursday, in a rare public rebuke of the government, disgruntled people in a residential community in Wuhan heckled high-level officials as they walked through the neighborhood on an inspection. “Fake! Everything is fake!” shouted one resident at the delegation, which included Sun Chunlan, a vice premier leading the central government’s response to the outbreak. The state-run People’s Daily newspaper later said that the accusations were aimed at local neighborhood officials who had “faked” delivery of vegetables and meat to residents. Ms. Sun ordered an immediate investigation into the issue.

Wang Zhonglin, the party secretary of Wuhan, announced plans on Friday to teach the city’s residents to be grateful to the party, a move that was quickly met with derision and anger on Chinese social media.
