From the beginning Trump downplayed this virus and now that it's out of control he's trying to save face. Does Trump deserve to be re-elected after this is all done and our economy suffers one of the greatest setbacks in history?

He can never win with some of you people.
He has never been able to do the right thing. The irony is that he has actually done a great job. The left like to feel warm and fuzzy, even as they are being screwed around. They care more about the words than the actions. Trump doesn't do warm and fuzzy, though he has tried his best during this.
How does a densely packed population of 22 million only have less than 200 cases? Explain that one genius?
Trade, status of travel between the countries (you're of course aware of the travel ban China put in place last year right?), levels of tourism and various other international hub considerations just for starters.
There are so many different factors to account for that cherry picking one country either way is a terrible way to look at things, especially when it's not even remotely over yet.
Perhaps read upon on patient 31 in south korea too. All it takes is a few people and woooooosh.
P.S. I did not intend to vote for Trump prior to this, nor did I vote for him before...but if you're going to argue proper analytics then I'm going to weigh in.
