LIB media wants to prolong the sick out as long as possible and the more government the better.......and of primary importance is defeating Trump any way possible which is what this has been, just Russia and collusion continued. Looking more and more like weekend at Bernies with poor old Joe propped up and trying to answer questions.......

The commies have scored a direct hit with this one, we need to get back to work to defeat their agenda.......

Pssst......guess what? We have a vaccine for influenza.... and effective antivirals.

Now you know.

We have the most cases of any country in the world, so it makes sense that we definitely could not be the outlier who decides NOT to take these actions.
There could be no more clear a sign that it's a blunder.

The world is in the grip of a leftist collectivist mindset and that is the last place freedom-loving Americans want to be, though it apparently gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling.

Tracking with most other countries is why we've been on the road to bondage for most of the last 40 years. We are blessed now to have a courageous President who is doing his best to lead us back to freedom, but we are so damaged as a nation that a third of the population has been successfully programmed to hate him for it.

Odds remain heavily against a future of freedom and prosperity for our country, but corona-virus is the least of our worries.

We have vaccines for certain strains of influenza, but each year influenza morphs into a new strain, or sometimes an old strain returns.

Some people get the influenza shot, and still get influenza, and thus we do not have a vaccine for influenza.

Influenza's too broad a term to claim we have a vaccine for it.

But many vaccines still confer some immunity, enough so we do not get severe symptoms. Plus, we have developed some of our own immunity over the years.

It is very different.

The ship was originally for non covid-19 patients, to isolate them from covid-hotspot hospitals. BTW, a friend in Albany said some NYC patients have been transfer to their hospital.

No way, you can pick on little "I-got-you facts" to pretend this isn't happening.

One day, hopefully soon, the WH will declare the danger is over, and the economy can re-start, and then it will restart, but until they make that declaration, we are closed down.

The admin is letting the medical people dictate policy, and he parrots it out to the whole nation on his daily presser. Heck, they even mailed a booklet called "President Trumps Guidelines to Covid".

Closing down the economy to this extent has been the costliest mistake the US has ever made, even costlier than the Iraq war, which has an astronomical price-tag.
Air travel is not closed down.

Costliest mistake? I am still waiting for you to post your medical experience in this matter? I mean you come on here as if you are the infectious disease expert, and counter everything all the exerts are saying. If you are so damn smart, why were you not asked to join the virus task force?

The president takes recommendations from many people and comes to decisions, your "the medical people are dictating policy" is 100% incorrect.

But we all know you are for the maximum number of dead and injured from this, this is why you have had a constant temper tantrum about it from the beginning.

Several problems with this statement:

1) Flu viruses have been around forever, many people have immunity, even to new strains of the flu virus.
2) There is a vaccine for the flu. It may not give everyone who gets it absolute immunity, but it often lessens the severity of the disease for those who contract it anyway.
3) There are anti-viral medications for the flu, which are effective if taken early.

COVID-19:
1) has not been around forever;
2) does not have a vaccine; and
3) has no anti-viral medication.

Not every state has shut down. I'm sure you already know that, however ....

If states shutting down schools and businesses saves millions of lives, would you still say it hasn't been worth it?

The problem is, the only way to find out who is right, is to see if a whole lot of people needlessly die or not.
Testing must come very soon, because people are going to return to work whether our government masters want it or not.
This is already happening.
