The travel restrictions slowed it and could have been more effective if china and the who were honest and forthcoming. Good thing "xenophobia" rules, and not biden or bernie.
Faucci in January- "nothing to worry about"

Leftists, you have NO CASE. NONE. Trump acted as early as possible and gave the virus and the response gravitas from the beginning. And that is according to Fauci! There will be no trial at the Hague, no manslaughter charges, but I do hope there is an investigation so we can show the American public just how little democrats care about them. "Trump is xenophobic. Come to the parade, party in Chinatown." What a bunch of morons.

Greasy democrats ought to stand trail at the Hague for putting funds for the Kennedy Center in the relief bill. What does that have to do with virus response?

DJT doesn't appear to be in touch with the facts regarding testing for COVID-19. Medical voices are saying one thing and he believes something else. That tells me his staff don't want to contradict him, so he's not being given the straight data. He's in his own alternate reality.

Yeah, you ever held a job before? Do you contradict the decision makers in your org? You can do that, but you had better be right. You don't know what kind of intel or temporal data he's seeing. Are you assuming that you and POTUS are seeing the same information?

Right?

Those saved lives are just a carryover from the Obama admin who set America up for success by spending the money to replenish expended pandemic supplies on that amazing O-care website. Obama is looking out for YOU, America.

Trump, and thus his core base, has pivoted from downplaying the severity of the virus to exaggerating outcomes. Models assume best and worst cases. The worst case rarely, if ever happens.

The model that projected up to 2.2 million deaths in the US assumed the absence of any control measures or changes to individual behaviors.

The primary ongoing control measure enacted by the Federal Government is the “Guideline” about social distancing and gathering. The Federal Government has left the rest to the states.

The rest of ongoing controls have and continue to occur at the state/ county/ municipal level. Individual behaviors and compliance with state/ county/ municipal directives is a huge variable, throughout the US.

He didn't do anything for me.

I don't believe anyone said half the country would be dead.

And is it all done. No more are dying?
All models project best/ worst case. A model predicted up to 2.2. Illinois deaths with the assumption zero control measures would be enacted and zero change in individual behaviors.

Most states/ counties/ municipalities enacted controls and enough individuals have changed their behaviors.

Silly post. It must be 'opposite day' again

Pritzger is doing a great job, no thanks to Trump.
