His help?

This “ our ( Federal) vs them ( states)” thing is disgusting.

There is no “ our” without “them” . It’s a mutual dependency.

Tell that to the Illinois Gov who wants the President to do everything for him. He insults Trump then begs for his help

11,784 dead vs hearing the daily televised Trump 2020 Rally has good ratings and someone told Trump he was #1 on FB.

Who does this? What kind of emotional state thinks communicating nonsense like this is appropriate?

Unlike most states, Illinois is one of seven with a state constitution that guarantees accrued pension benefits in place on the date of hire.

Not likely any Congress or POTUS will ever agree to directly bailing out a state, any state pension system.
So this seems like a hole they can't dig out from.

You know, I bet they used poor assumptions of stock market performance to underwrite their pension funds. Whatever they did, they shackled you guys to honor them. Neither you nor any of us should have to kick in to support these over-sized pensions.

At the end of the day, the pensioners are going to end of having to settle for less, just like SS recipients are likely going to see a reduction in the next decade or so. The obligations are unsustainable. And that's just a shame.

Melania Trump is the honorary Chair of the Kennedy Center and Trump 100% supported this give-a-way.

I doubt it. I think they held their nose and signed just to get the ball rolling on relief. Pelosi held up the bill as leverage and tried to extract more concessions.
It was not a time to play politics.

And if it was up to me, I would not have another pork-filled, boondoggle bill.

No one has defended the model that made the worst case assumption of an absence of any control measure and change in individual behavior.

CDC issued a “ guideline” for social distancing and gathering.

Most states have issued Stay at Home orders for non- essential functions, some sooner rather than later.

We are all paying for the incompetence of Democrat leadership in NYC and the always incompetent Democrat leadership in Mardi Gras New orleans.

Virginia has a Democrat governor who has shut down the state until June over 68 deaths.Governor Newsome in California proclaiming 25.5 million infected over 8 week period , actual number is around 25,000 A leftist media more concerned about bashing Trump than providing reliable information.

The terrible response of Democrat leadership in NYC just sums up this whole fiasco.
