Once again, the so-called "experts" are full of crap. People will be careful at first, but by this time next year, most of these people will look back on this like it happened in another world.
Are you speaking as a human or as a "lobotomized" ferret?

I LOVE the typo in your title!

The word "expert" won't be the same for a long time after this.

Does that mean we have to social distance forever?

Does that mean sporting events, concerts, movie theaters, gyms, dine in restaurants, shopping etc will have to close permanently?

Does that mean schools and universities will be online Permanently

Would you be ok with this?
Avoid large crowds, social distancing, wear a mask, wash your hands.

But you know this.

I'm 73. And yes, I plan on making these efforts my new normal.

I'm in my late 30s. I don't.

Life is always changing. Maybe not always in a large scale- but let’s face it. We took a big hit - we have a scar to heal and we may walk with a limp for a while . But if you think - it’s back to business as normal - you are delusional.
I have a secure job- but at 67 they might force retirement. I have to be wise now and prepare for any changes that may come. I encourage all to do the same. That is not being pessimistic - they do not know the full impact if this pandemic, as it’s not done yet.

It may be possible for some people to stay at home all day and do nothing else, but certainly not everyone. We are social beings

All experts are wrong. And you know far more than they do about their areas of specialty. Aren't we lucky to have you here with us.

Well, maybe your cognitive decline doesn't allow you to recall the Crash of 2001 or the 2008 meltdown but a lot of us still do! BTW, in five weeks we lost three times as many jobs as in the entire Great Recession.

Now explain to us that's it's all because of the media. We're waiting.

They are trying to scare everyone by drilling their minds non stop with hysterical fear porn. People need to wake up and realise we have experienced one of the largest propaganda campaigns of all time with this. It's no where near as bad as the "experts" want you to believe.

Did I say anything about staying home all day? Wearing masks and keeping a social distance are things you do when you are around people.

One of the most striking things I remember about living in Japan was how, on any given day, a good 20% of the people around me would be wearing masks. Little kids on up to old people. No big deal. They were trying to avoid getting microbes, and avoid giving them. Which is the height of civilized behavior, IMO.
