I am in Ct. The improvement still places them with far more daily deaths, and higher rates per capita in new daily deaths, than the interior USA states.

Nice attempt at spin, but this mostly a NY/NJ/CT pandemic, with lesser rates of covid deaths in the other 47 states.

NYC would have had far fewer deaths had its governor not pushed nursing homes to take in patients who had suffered from covid, btw.

So you are telling people who financially effected by this lock down to get a grip? Are you going to pay rent, food, mortgage, etc for them?

"Thousands of people are preparing to attend protests across the US backed by wealthy conservative groups and promoted by Donald Trump."

The Michigan Freedom Fund and Michigan Conservative Coalition are financed by large corporations, and these 2 corporate groups started the anti-lock down protests in an attempt to reopen the economy very quickly to increase corporate profits.

FreedomWorks a corporate group connected to a Charles Koch-founded organization "is (also) organizing some of the protests, holding virtual town halls, and “igniting an activist base of thousands of supporters across the nation to back up the effort.”

Trump wants the economy open as soon as possible so he has a better chance to win the 2020 election, because Trump knows its very hard to win a presidential election during a bad economy.

And the "wave of protests could be a Trump campaign operation."

People aren't buying it, these are plainly wackos.
Personally I believe most people don't understand or know whats going on regarding corporate manipulation within the republican party, and many republicans are literally willing to kill Americans with the coronavirus to increase corporate profits and improve Trumps 2020 chances.

But you appear to be correct that "People aren't buying it", and most Americans want the lock-downs to continue.

Lockdown protests will, no doubt, increase.

Less so as Interior US states reopen for business, having incurred far lower rates of covid cases and deaths per capita.

Liberals will whine as in regions with far fewer cases and deaths per capita, they wanted the government to seize power from the people.

Their ploy worked for a month, but will fail in the next few weeks.

With or w/o their hilarious conspiracy theories.

It simply never occurred to liberals when they whine "Its governors calls, not Trumps", that not all 50 would behave the same way, as in half the states, covid has not been much more deadly than the routine flu season.

The NYC metro petri dish will stay locked down, as any epicenter should , for a while longer.

When Georgia recently reopened their economy president Trump said he “disagreed strongly” with Georgia's decision to begin allowing some nonessential businesses to soon reopen.
https://time.com/5825908/trump-disag...a-coronavirus/

How can you fully blame liberals for keeping the economy shut down when republican Donald Trump says he "strongly disagrees" with Georgia reopening their economy?

Do you believe Trump was lying about being "strongly opposed to reopening Georgia's economy" to protect himself politically in case the coronavirus greatly spreads in Georgia because of the reopening, or do you believe Trump is really "strongly opposed to reopening Georgia's economy" ?

Let these buffoons go ahead and get infected, just stay away from the rest of us who are smart enough to stay safe, even if it is temporarily inconvenient.

The problem is this whole situation is being referred to as the "new normal" instead of a temporary inconvenience and people dont want to accept that.

I think the government should give people like you who are scared of a 0.003% chance of dying a motel room with food and a cable subscription to FOX News. After a month or two you should see the light. If not you can spend two years there until the pandemic is over.

It will take TWO YEARS to end the pandemic when we get to herd immunity. The fastest a vaccine has ever been developed is 5 years.
