This just reinforces what I have always said about we humans. We are not as smart as we think we are. Just because we have been forced, by a deadly virus, to change our lives, some people can not control themselves enough to accept that and act accordingly.
Let these buffoons go ahead and get infected, just stay away from the rest of us who are smart enough to stay safe, even if it is temporarily inconvenient.
Deadly virus? It's not a deadly virus to nearly everyone who catches it.
You have no idea what you are talking about The data has been inaccurate. There is way more people infected than they are telling us. You want to talk about wrong medical practices? How about two covid patients in a room together? Or having to reuse M95 masks when that's never happened in history and is disgusting! Your disgusting behaviors are putting doctors and nurses in danger. BUT OMG I must change my behavior and not be selfish. Can't do that I guess. So go out and do whatever and give it to your family. Who cares?
You do not have the right to demand people be confined to their homes. Yes, there are way more people infected. That's the whole point. Most people do not even have symptoms. It's no where near as deadly as those seizing up all the power want the regular people to believe.
The issue is the level of lockdown by individual cities and states. Some have made what are considered to be more modest forms of stay at home orders while others have become Nazi SS like in power and scope. Those city and state leaders who use a more sensible approach are t seeing the level of protest like in other cities and states with more draconian measures. Someone fishing alone, paddle boarding alone, or other outdoor activities should not be treated like criminals. Places of worship who wish to remain open for services should have restrictions placed upon them such as a reduction in occupancy for example. Some places of worship have made voluntary measures to protect those who still wish to attend services if they choose to remain open.
I wonder how long before police in some cities or states are ordered to stop people to “check their papers”.
Maybe we should just let the virus spread and let everyone get infected, completely overwhelm the hospitals and just let more people die. That makes sense. That's great for the economy. Oh and it doesn't just kill elderly and immune-compromised people too. Younger people are dying too. But who cares if 60,000 or 6 million die I guess the almight dollar is what your concerned about.
Cannot buy food without money. Cannot pay bills without money. Cannot buy lifesaving medications without money. Mass starvation will kill more people than the virus ever will.
As polls show....the vast majority of Americans are okay with the lockdowns. Its the small loud minority thats protesting against it and attempting to agitate.
Thankfully, the silent law abiding majority will outvote the loud and dumb minority that is laughed at and overrepresented.

In some places people are stopped to check for a paper from their employers to see if they are essential workers.

The masks don't really protect against the virus transmission. If the virus can get through the masks from one way then how are the masks going to keep the virus from spreading from the other way?
You need people for an economy to be successful. If people don't want to go out because they don't want to get sick and if people are dying, the economy is not going to matter.
People do want to go out.
When the food supply gets seriously messed up then people will go without food. That should scare people a lot more than a virus that doesn't even cause symptoms in most people who are infected.
Agreed, but the irony is millions amongst them are, for 4 months, making more money than before, due to the flat $600/wk unemployment insurance tack-on.
And millions of them don't even qualify for relief other than maybe the stimulus check.
