Correct, viruses are essentially 'programs'. The organism is the host body, or 'computer' that is tricked into running the program that copies itself millions of times over and has an effect on the body

You really should do more research when you post. Much of what you're posting in this thread is straight up misinformation.
I said "organisms", not viruses. That includes bacteria.

On whether viruses are "alive" or not:

Please feel free to quote anything I have posted that you deem to be misinformation and explain why you think it is.

I think such vaccination should be mandatory because public health outweighs egoism.
The development takes a year or so because of all the testing that is necessary to make sure the vaccine doe not cause more harm than the disease.

You can't force people to take a medical treatment, but you sure as heck can ban unvaccinated people from public spaces. Everyone has the right to let themselves get infected and die or get get lung damage, they don't have the right to give that to someone else

As far as I know, soldiers must undergo anthrax vaccination in the US.
In other countries mandatory vaccination is taken for granted, for instance in France against diphtheria, hepatitis B, haemophilus influenzae, whooping cough, polio, measles, mumps, pneumococci, rubella, tetanus and meningococci.

The problem with your view is that infected people would have to live on the moon for society to be safe from them. But obviously that is not the case and they pose a risk to public health no matter what they do.

That's the risk of living in a free society. I wouldn't want to live in a socialist country where people tell you what to do. There are limits on what you can or should force people to do.

That being said, no COVID shot? IMO No school, no malls, no public transportation, etc and criminal penalty for violation.

The virus is decreasing, so what is even the need? On top of that, a rushed vaccine with little time to test long-term effects is a BAAAAAD idea.

I have a feeling that they'll try to make this mandatory and if you don't take it, you can't go to work, flights, stores, etc. But this virus has a 99.8% survival rate, so I'm perplexed as to why this is even needed.
Are you also perplexed about why they give a flu vaccine every year? I am assuming you always reject those too?

I'd be in favor of making all flu vaccines either mandatory - or allow businesses or facilities to prevent entry of the un-vaccinated. Why wouldn't we? It would surely prevent a lot of unnecessary deaths.

If any of these viruses killed kids in enough numbers it would be more mandatory. Influenza and covid 19 do not as of now.

The French and other Europeans live in free societies as well, but they are on average more responsible, unlike many Americans with their excessive egoism and childish rebel attitude.

Your last sentence is basically how the Chinese social credit system works or whatever it is called.
