For months the last four Public Health experts have urged Americans to take every precaution to stop the spread of COVID-19 by staying at home, away from friends and extended family, and avoiding large gatherings.

Now, since the surge of recent protest, many of those same experts are sending a new message that it's OK to join the mass protests against racism:

Jennifer Nuzzo, a Johns Hopkins epidemiologist, tweeted on Tuesday. “In this moment the public health risks of not protesting to demand an end to systemic racism greatly exceed the harms of the virus.”

Abraar Karan, a Brigham and Women’s Hospital physician who’s exhorted coronavirus experts to amplify the protests' anti-racist message, has stated "While I have voiced concerns that protests risk creating more outbreaks, the status quo isn’t going to stop COVID-19 either. The injustice that’s evident to everyone right now needs to be addressed”.

Tom Frieden, former Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director, who loudly warned against efforts to rush reopening but is now supportive of mass protests, now claims: "If we don’t address racial inequality, it’ll be that much harder to fight Covid-19. There’s also evidence that the virus doesn’t spread easily outdoors, especially if people wear masks."

This new Narrative is being distributed by many media outlets and some of the most prominent public health experts in America.

Statistics have already proven it a complete fraud... All used to see how much control the people will put up with.

Covid cases SKYROCKET in Florida, 4-days in a row of record high new cases.

Florida is led by Republican idiot Rob DeSantis.

How much is due to testing?

Why are thousands congregating together to “protest”?

Well yeah, we’re either going to have millions of liberals on ventilators or realize this was all one big joke.

It’s a win/win situation because liberals were the first ones laughing at conservatives for protesting their rights, talking about masks and social distancing.

Turns out rioting and looting was the vaccine I guess.

Liberals: “Let Darwin handle these conservative folks who want to leave their house.”
Also Liberals: “I’m looting for social justice, screw COVID.”

NO you are all really exaggerating the possible consequences - in an effort to make your own point look good.

Do some math, people. Millions of people will not be on ventilators. Why? Because if 10 million people protested - and that is a bunch - and THEY ALL got sick (which is not going to happen, since they are outside, some have masks, some already had it, and some just get luck and don't stand next to a carrier) - then 5 to 10 thousand would die EVENTUALLY - if anyone of them were vulnerable in the first place. Obviously, some perfectly healthy folks will die too - but in no case - none - is it "Millions on a ventilator" from this protest. So I would expect some increase in hospitalizations, and a small increase in deaths about a month from now, maybe 5 weeks - as those that catch it take it home to gramma.

You may not even see the "spike" in the other regular "noise" of the data. Proves nothing, regarding the last three months. Except regarding math skills, maybe.

I am not so much worried about the protesters themselves - they are mostly young. I more worried about the older relatives, and relatives and friends with underlying conditions that these young people will come home to and infect.

Those cases could just be from an increase in testing: what about hospitalizations and deaths? If all those "new cases" are asymptomatic or mild and the deaths continue to decline, I would be inclined to believe its all a function of testing numbers.

After Republican-led Florida has seen 4 days in a row of highest new cases yet, Texas, also run by a dumb Republican, is seeing a steep rise in COVID hospitalizations.
