Drunk drivers kill 10,000 people per year. He sure as hell was posing a threat to others. He was sitting in line with his car running at the Wendy's drive-thru. He drove himself there. He blew 1.8 blood alcohol, more than double the 0.8 legal limit in Georgia. He sure as hell was posing a danger to others!!
If you know the facts as they actually happened, you know that Rayshard Brooks did everything he could to justify the cops shooting him. He beat the crap out of them. He stole their weapon and shot it at them.
If you believe the fake news propaganda, the cops no doubt were demonic with horns and pitchforks, dragged him from his car, threw him across the parking lot and shot him 50,000 times in the back. I'm sure you'll believe that they peed on him and desecrated the body while dancing around chanting too.
He blew a 1.08. A drink or so past the present limit...but well less than the older limits of a couple of decades ago. He was legally drunk but not really plastered. A bad drunk is 1.8 or 2.0.
The taser is a one shot weapon. So he was unarmed at the time he was shot. And the officer certainly knew that.
I believe they must do the FST (Field Sobriety Test) first to determine his alcohol level and if he were fit to drive. Then he is cuffed if his BAL (breathylyzer) is over the limit OR he exhibits the inability to stand/walk straight and the eye test for stigma (?) I watched a lot of Cops show until they were offended and got rid of the show...
What if the Wendy's felon would have knocked that car out of gear while passed out? He would have drove that likely into oncoming traffic and killed someone on the highway. He deserved NOTHING but jail for doing such a stupid thing.
What about it?
He was already out of the car, posing no danger to anyone and being not aggressive at all.
Send the drunk home, you already have his license plate, so you can charge him through the nose later.
But it sounds like a lot of you here WANT THE BLOOD TO BE DROWN.

Some tasers are two shot, I do not know what model taser the cop had.

I think he was being aggressive - I think from the moment he realised how serious the situation was for him, he was likely considering options that would get him away from the police, including force.
This is hidden aggression.
